Absolutely brilliant place to celebrate/ eat. Recently had my 40th. birthday and my missus surprised me with a party, I didn't realise that the owners had been working with my better half to put a menu on dedicated to myself. I had the beef and cheddar cheese bon bons (amazing by the way) with a venison wellington for mains (again, absolutely amazing). In short, a brilliant pub/ restaurant and such a great place to dine Mon-Fri let alone a special occasion. A big thank you for making every occasion, let alone my 40th such a special day.

I often eat here and introduced 3 friends yesterday to The Dove for the first time. We were all delighted with our food and service and definitely value for money. So pleased we've decided to come back for our next meet up. I know people who travel from Glenfield for the food here is so good!

As always! My go to local! The warmest welcome in miles! Great value, staff are helpful and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble! Had a table of 8, all meals came out together and were generous portions and great value!

Four of us had a delicious meal - great service and good value. Love the ambience of the Dove and it's our go to diner when we are in Leicester.

Unreal Sunday roast!

Came for Sunday lunch with family. The food was excellent, and we thought it was a great idea to offer small roast dinners for smaller appetites.

We booked for a large party on 20th June. All food pre ordered. Served with out any issues. The only comment I would make was that the flatbread meal tasted better than it presented, it seemed to have been thrown onto the plate, not up to its usual standard. Everything else was great. Great service

could not make sunday lunch so had a take away, it was superb.

I came on Sat eve at 5:00pm as a party of 6 (3 of whom had travelled over 100 miles), for an evening meal. We were shown to a table for 6 in an area away from the other diners. Towards the end of our meal a large family group arrived and were seated at the 3 tables surrounding ours. From this point onwards we were unable to have any kind of conversation at all because of the noise around us. We left. We've had excellent meals here before, but lessons need to be learnt from this sad experience.

This was our first time visiting and it won't be our last. We both had the beef Sunday lunch - wow! The beef was so soft and the roast potatoes were the best that I've ever had. The only slight criticism was that we would've liked a bit more gravy. We didn't have room for dessert, so next time we may opt for the smaller portion. We thought that it was very good value for money.

First class mead as usual. Love this place and have visited occasionally for a few years. Great service, love the idea that it is father and son business. ( remember when Dad was the waiter)

I had a pleasant lunchtime with two friends and chose Caesar salad off the early bird menu

I came for lunch with a friend . The staff were so helpful and kind (I am disabled and my friend had her baby with her. ).The service and food were excellent. We were not rushed ,but someone came every now and again to check if we needed anything. After the meal we sat in the garden with coffees. A really lovely setting . I shall return.

The service in this place is fantastic. The food quality is beyond words. I also found this is one of the best rump steaks I’ve ever had and it was absolutely huge. I feel like I’ve got my moneys worth.

Had a lovely relaxed Sunday lunch here. It's in a fab spot and the service was friendly, speedy and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again.
