Excellent Sunday lunch. As always. My wife and I come to The Dove quite regularly on a Sunday because the Roast is always so good. Congrats to the Chef, who creates a wonderful beef meal.

Fantastic from start to finish. Beautiful restaurant, beautiful food & service exemplary. I like to think I can cook to a decent level so I’m not easy to impress but you certainly did. Loved your care in presentation of the plates. Can’t fault you in any way. I’m eager to return very soon .

Had the pleasure of dining here on valentines evening, last minute booking. Service was great and the food was beautiful. Pork belly was cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again

I would very much like to write a review, however I am unable to due to the following : I booked a table for 2:15 on Saturday the 7th of February to celebrate my sister in law's birthday. We arrived on time and stood at the "Wait here to be seated" sign. There was one server dealing with a table so we patiently waited. Then she began running food to another table, then she went back to the first table. (I will note that there were only 2 tables occupied). We had still not even been acknowledged. We stood there for at least 10 minutes, I then deiced that maybe we should go to the bar where there was another server and just make our presence known. That was a joke as that server had her back to us and was making coffee's, she was aware of us but did not even turn around an acknowledge our presence. She then took the coffee's to a table, came back and began making more coffee, still no acknowledgement. Eventually I was now getting a little fed up, I said excuse me and she turned and said "I'll be right with you", she then delivered the coffee's, came back and said "yes?" I explained that we had a table booked, her response was "Go and stand there!" Meaning the "Wait to be seated sign" where we had already stood for 10 minutes. So far we have been in the premises for 20 minutes. We go back and stand and wait to be seated, some time later the server comes over and say's "Sit where you like" we chose a table and sat, then NOTHING. We sat for a further 10 minutes and got up and left. Basically there were 2 members of staff on, clearly they cannot deal with 3 tables and a handful of people in the bar, so maybe more staff on a Saturday afternoon. But I can assure you, after having our birthday celebration ruined, we won't be back.

Service and food was exceptional. A party of 19 and everyone received their meal together. Great atmosphere and waitress was excellent throughout

Once again a fantastic visit with family. All choices of food equally delicious as usual. Warm welcome and great service makes this our first choice to eat out, just wish it was closer. We love the atmosphere of this family run restaurant between father and son and hope to return as soon as possible. We send our thanks and love. Xx

Excellent food and great service with a smile, decent price too!

We went to dove for Sunday lunch but found it disappointing. We ordered turkey as they had ran out of beef. The turkey wasn't fresh carved turkey, it was formed turkey slices which wasn't very nice. The pudding was lovely but won't go back for Sunday lunch im afraid.

Another fantastic evening at Cheikhos in Oadby. The food was absolutely excellent, full of flavour and beautifully cooked, and the service was amazing as always. Even though the restaurant was busy, we were so well looked after and never felt forgotten or rushed. We’ve eaten here many times and it’s consistently a lovely experience with great service and outstanding food. Highly recommended.

Food and service were excellent. Lovely decor and ambiance. Managed to get alcohol free Prosecco which was lovely as driving. Would recommend and definitely will visit again.

We had a fantastic large family meal here on Saturday. They where 16 people, we pre booked and pre ordered the meals. All the meals arrived to the table together and warm which was really good. The staff are attentive and well mannered. The food was lovely.
