Booked a meal for the family (son, wife and grand-children, daughter and husband and ourselves) post -Christmas. Had a lovely evening - staff were attentive but also left us alone to chat; food and drink were delicious (although not all first choices were available; but hey, post Christmas and New Year!) and everybody enjoyed it; atmosphere was great.

The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenOur experience was extremely poor last night. I booked a table for 5pm as we had a toddler in our party. No member of staff came to take a drinks order and when we eventually had our meals it was an hour and a half later. Needless to say we were all very unhappy by this point. Out of nine meals ordered, only three were hot and the rest were lukewarm . Our waitress asked if we wanted desserts but of course by this time we weren’t interested. The manager came to our table when we told a member of staff that we were not happy and he just offered us some money off vouchers for our next visit. We explained that we would not be coming back again and would not recommend The Bridgend.

But food was hit and miss from a bland menu. Overpriced when you compare pub is weatherspoons quality but 40 % more expensive . But good atmosphere and we enjoyed the night. Alcohol helped us over the mediocre food. Could do better.

Love the dog friendly policy, makes life as a dog owner much easier. Food was delicious and well presented too. The pub felt nice and warm with a welcoming vibe about it.

The main course was Hunters’ Chicken: Chicken flavour good, quantity small, meat dry/overcooked, poor quality main course, over priced. Dessert good. Duty manager removed cost of one beer from bill. Will not be returning, will not recommend.
