Made In Brazil – Camden TownJust to let you all know that I went to this Indian Restaurant with my Girlfriend (Amanda - She's a Darling) last week for Dinner - and believe me it was one of the *****BEST***** Indian Meals I've had in ages... right from Starter (Vegetable Samosa) - Main course (must try Madrass - HOT) - Desert (Mango Kulfi) it was a Finger Licking Meal and the staff were very polite. I will be going there again (*a Must try - thumbs UPPP!!! )
Humaira Restaurant – BloomsburyExcellently presented, delicious food served in fabulous surroundings. I had the 3 course 'County of the Month' menu (which in June was Cornwall) and loved every course. The duck to start was full of flavour, the loin of veal for my main course was cooked to perfection and the egg custard dessert was just stunning - a great end to a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend the National Dining Rooms - superb location overlooking Trafalgar Square, attentive and knowledgeable staff and excellent food. I will definitely be returning.
National Dining Rooms, The – HolbornI didnt know restaurants like this existed in Camden! Truly the best restaurant i have been to in a long long time! The Thai Green Curry is to die for! Incredible!
Zensai – Camden TownAmazing Tapas! brilliant quality! I ended up ordering most the menu, it all looked so good i couldn't choose!
Bar Gansa – Camden TownStunning venue tucked away off Lothbury - lovely once you've found it! Beautiful long cocktail bar, relaxing lounge booths and amazingly light Indian food - especially in the weekly City Lunch menu. Definitely worth a look.
Mint Leaf Lounge and Restaurant – CityVery cool basement venue just off Haymarket. Beautiful long cocktail bar. Perfect for pre-post theatre dinner (opposite Phantom of the Opera) - fantastic 'contemporary' Indian food.
Mint Leaf Restaurant and Bar – WestminsterWe visited this restaurant on last week around 11:10pm, we ask one of the waiter about the closing time before we order the food, he told us the kitchen will close at 12am but we can continue to enjoy our food until we finished, then we only start to order appetiser and main course. After appetiser came out for 5 minute, they already served us the main course without asked us while we still not finish our appetiser, they put all the main course on the table and go away, that time we just start to eat our appetiser only, if the food put there until we finish our appetiser, all the food must become cold, so we expressed dissatisfaction then they only take back all the main course to the kitchen to keep warm. When they take back the food go back to kitchen, one of the waiter said:” this is not my responsible”, and then he also said :” normally this treatment for Chinese people is normal and never mind”… we feel angry and no mood to eat after listen what he said, we thought that he has the racial discrimination… After we finished appetiser, they served us main course, but all the food was cold. We complained again about the fish dishes, because actually we order whole of the fish, but now it look like all the remains of the fish to cook for us, and its tasted not fresh. When the supervisor know our dissatisfaction and he come to apologize quickly, that time our disappointed feeling only become better… but at the end of our conclusion is the service is POOR, the food is not fresh and the price is not worth for what you eating! We will never go there again!
Golden Dragon – SohoI came across this venue last week. Brilliant food! I had the Wild mushroom risotto and my friend had the Seabass... both were delicious! Next time your in Camden, make sure you go there!
Solo – Camden TownWant a cocktail bar/restaurant in Camden? Go to Inverness Street! Friendly staff, great food and a cosy, laid back atmosphere. If you aren't going there for food, the definitely try the 'Mango Tree' cocktail...amazing!
Zensai – Camden TownBrilliant !! You must go there....the only true DJ venue in Camden!
Bar Vinyl – Camden TownThis restaurant? A massive NO! NO! NO! I came in with a friend to try it out and noticed we were the only people and so I asked ' Hello! Are you guys open?' The lady whom I believe is the owner, simply barked us back 'Why, does it say close at the door?' Woah, we were simply taken aback by her upfront-ness rude behavior. Then we gave her the benefit of the doubt and stayed and sat as she came towards us placing two sticky and dirty menus. With an accompanied massive sigh. As if to say she's doing us a favor. Then we felt it was really unpleasant and she is quite unfriendly. And so we changed our mind. We stood up as my friend said 'Sorry we changed our minds.' She then again barked us back 'You always change your mind!' By the way this is a woman whom we never met and the place we never been once before. And so I replied to her by saying 'Because you're very friendly.' And guess how she replied to me? Simply an agressive 'F*** Y**!' We were shocked and I came back from the opened door saying 'What did you just say?' Again, she simply replied and repeated 'F*** Y**!' I then replied to her 'Who are you to talk to me like that?' She replied by trying to give me the reason why she swore at me by saying: 'Because you always change your mind!' Which obviously is not a good reason at all for swearing at someone you don't know. Then realised I was talking to a mad person. Although, I was really shocked and upset by her rudness. We were laughing of shock and disbelief outside, whilst a family was reading their menu by the window. Surely, the kids heard her saying those profanity words to us. How delightful. Strange it's still running though. If only people would know. By the way, by saying 'barking', I really mean it, as if she was answering someone back in the middle of an argument. P.S. The dialogue here is the exact dialogue exchanged and delivered during the entire situation.
Cafe 209 – South Londonthis is by far the best Camden has to offer, fantastic authentic malay cuisine, great decor and atmosphere and both classic and contemporary cocktails, shaken to perfection.really friendly service too, which is a rarity these days
Zensai – Camden Townfantastic food and great cocktails and great service, later at night a dj starts and the place becomes a bit more funky, its a great place to start and finish the night
Zensai – Camden TownThe restaurant is close to the tube so is easy to find and is fairly priced for London. The food is excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly, I spent a month in Japan and the sushi here is very good for a restaurant outside of Japan. The large seaweed rolls filled with salmon are one of my favourites and very filling. If you like other noodle bars you won't be disappointed by there hot food either and you get to choose the type of noodles you want, which isn't always the case in other restaurants. I love the duck noodles. I've recommended the restaurant to friends and work colleagues and everyone who has been has loved it too.
Me Love Sushi – North LondonMy favourite Caribbean restaurant. The Saltfish fritters are just magnificent and the Goat Curry fantastic. this is a must if you are in this part of town
Cottons EC1 – Citythe staff is so unorganized.. only 1 or two people work and the rest are useless
Ariana – Bayswater and PaddingtonThe sushi at Me Love Sushi is very good, there is a wide variety of types and fillings to choose from, all reasonably priced. You can also choose filling rice and noodle bowls and they also give you the choice of thick or thin noodles. I would recommend the beef noodles and for people feeling hungry the mixed tempura is excellent.
