The food was excellent. Very authentic. Staffs were nice and friendly. There are lots of special dishes that you wouldn't find in most other Thai restaurants.

I have to say this was one of the best place's I’ve been to in a long time the food was out of this world and watch out for the salsa dip it's hot but a nice hot I went out with a group of 7 and didn’t have to wait for a table i would go back and would recommend this place to pals

Having eaten here twice in a year, I thought I'd write and let readers know of my experiences. There are several branches of Monty's in the local area, originally started by a group of guys together, who eventually split and opened up separate branches. I've eaten at 3 of the 4 local branches and would say this is not the best of the ones I've eaten at but it's good compared to other Indian/Nepalese restaurants I've eaten in. The service is always prompt and the food is served quickly and tastes good. Their prices are very reasonable and they do go out of their way to ask if you want the food cooked differently, e.g. more spicey, less hot, etc. I'd definitely be happy to give them a good 8 out of 10 as an overall rating. Toilets are always clean - that's very important to consider when reviewing a dining venue I think!

Montys – West London
Frampton

I finally ate at the Kasturi after numerous failed visits. Of course, it could have been a big let-down but it was far from that. The food was fantastic and the service very friendly. Can't think of an Indian restaurant that comes close to this.

Kasturi – City
Jase

The Cock Tavern "Restaurant" is essentially the upstairs bar of the pub. Can be a little smoky at times depending on the clientele, but with the smoking ban coming into effect in July this will no longer be a problem. The menu offers a full range of potato based starters. You can chose from Chunky Chips, Curly Fries or Potato Wedges. The chips are warm and average for pub chips. The fries are a much better choice and the best from the selection of starters on offer. The main courses are varied, as long as you like chips and salad. The double burger and chips is filling with particularly good white buns. The chicken Kiev which is the signature dish is tender and succulent and has a particularly nice batter. Staff are friendly and can provide bottles of ketchup and bowls of mayonnaise on demand to accompany your meal. No deserts offered as yet, may I suggest another round of chips if you're still hungry? The wine list is varied, with a choice of white (medium and dry), the newly added rose and of course, red. Price wise it is very good, with the main meals reviewed here costing about six pounds each.

Cock Tavern – Fitzrovia

This place was great. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed the belly dancers!

Mamounia Lounge – Mayfair

The food is not too bad. It's not the sort of place you go to have a great meal, but its the perfect place to go mid-week, to chill out and take a break. I went with my boyfriend and we sat outside. Candlelight, wine, open air--- it's really relaxing. If you feel like going out in the middle of the week to calm down, it's a great place to go.

Tsiakkos and Charcoal – West London

great place for pizza or pasta a very good italian in london

Il Pizzaiolo – Mayfair

We actually had the intention of going to Nikita’s for a Russian meal but we spent three hours looking for it and somehow we ended up in Kensington. The nice owner of a Russian shop told us Erebuni was around here but failed to mention that it was actually inside a hotel! Luckily we bumped into a man who was staying in the hotel and we asked him for directions, and he dutifully informed us we had to go into the hotel and downstairs. Hell to find, but well worth it. I’ve never actually been to Russia but I was told that the décor was very authentic - low lighting, hearty colours like red on green. We came at a bit of an awkward time and we were the only diners at the restaurant, which was fine with us. My date decided to order for me since I knew nothing of Russian cuisine, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. She started me off with something safe: an ukha po-domashnemu (clear fish broth), which was fine, but with the Russian bread as an accompaniment really I wanted something more savoury so I ended up trading for her mysnaya solyanka (sour meat soup - almost a porridge). She was afraid that I wouldn’t like it but I actually really enjoyed it. The flavour was unlike anything I had ever eaten - packed with spices and a strong zesty punch. I do admit it is a bit of a refined taste, and I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone. For the main I had kartoshka (fried potatoes with creamed onions and mushrooms). I was shocked that I enjoyed a vegetarian dish so much since I considered myself a hardcore carnivore, but this was simply amazing. Potatoes are such versatile vegetables but I can’t remember a dish better utilising it than this one. My favourite of the evening. For dessert we both had a napoleon (Russian pastry filled with whipped cream). Deliciously flaky and light, but didn’t feel much different from any other pastries. I still finished the whole thing however (perhaps I shouldn’t have, the portions were quite large) with some Armenian coffee to balance off the rich and sweetness. The waitress was great, spoke perfect Russian to my date and probably made some jokes at my expense. ;) The soundtrack to the evening was some repeats of cheesy Russian pop, which was fine since I didn’t understand a thing but apparently the lyrics were terrible. Worth a visit if you want to venture down into the Russian underworld but don’t dare to go to Piter.

Erebuni – Bayswater and Paddington
Cathryn

I've had Sunday Lunch here twice in the last year. It's good pub food, reasonably priced, and right by Covent Garden. It gets really busy and you have to wait for a table to come free and then get to it before anybody else does! Which can be a bit of a hassle. They were serving hot mulled wine when I was there in December 2006. Very nice!

Nags Head – Covent Garden
Richard

We had an excellent meal here in May 2007 before going over to the Adelphi. The Pie Restaurant caught our eyes and our noses! There was plenty of choice and at reasonable prices, around £7-9. The only negative was the service. The place was full and there were only 2 girls waitressing AND serving at the bar! The bar was covered in dirty glasses that had been collected, we queued for ages to put our order in and couldn't get their attention during the meal at all. Despite this the food came quickly and was delicious. We would go again although I hope the manager employs more staff to cover a busy bank holiday saturday night!

Coal Hole – Strand
pasart

Have eaten here quite a few times and have to say the food is really good, the staff are very friendly and if you want to try more authentic Thai dishes ask for the Thai menu! They also sell Chang Beer not just Singha.

Thai Taste – Kensington
Suzanne

What a litte gem this restaurant is! We were so pleased we found it, off the beaten track, away from all the names and chains of Oxford Street and the area. Authentically Iranian, swift service and extremely reasonably priced. It was great to watch the bread being made in the oven just inside the door. Will definitely seek this place out again! Suzanne, Suffolk.

Colbeh – Bayswater and Paddington
kingmouth

It is highly recommended Korean restaurant in London Soho. Many Chinese and Japanese people come to this restaurant. Not too many Koreans... I would like to recommend Dumpling(Gyuja)and Kalbi(BBQ beef ribs), Bibimbap(hot stonebowl) Friday, Saturday are too busy. Maybe you have to book before coming there.

Myung Ga – Soho
michi b

A frequent this cafe with my work colleagues, the curries are exceptionally good and very inexpensive. The staff are friendly and professional. Pop by the Alwyne opposite for a drink on your way home - a perfect night out for cheap!
