Medcalf is an ex-butcher shop turned restaurant. It’s a jeans place for serious eaters. In the past two years it’s climbed the ladder from good to very good and, at times, outstanding. Portions are generous. It specialises in old fashioned meat and two veg - but the meat is as you want (you can have it rare, rose or well done if you really have to) and the vegetables are often surprising and always good: there’s nothing English about this English fare. Puddings are English schoolboys’ dreams. Good wine list and ciders and beers. The chef has a real flair; the wine buyer is conservative and has got it right; staff are friendly; it’s bloody cold in winter - but so good you should go nonetheless. It's cheap for what you get. Try it.

Take time, do not be in a hurry. If you do not know the japanese food, find out first before going to INAHO. They might not be anymore what they used to be in 1990's but still it is a good experience.

The piano bar is very good i recommend it to every one who likes good music and good environment it is wonderful!!! Happy people, happy place, the only thing is that they don't let you to breathe between the drinks, they always ask you if you want more and more, this is a bit bad because you get drunk very quickly so you can not to drive and have o spend money with hotel near by if you live out skirts of London like me. And is a pit that it is a bit small, but worth it! I will be there again this Saturday.

A brilliant curry house, friendly staff. Delicious food and the best "all you can eat" Sunday buffet I have ever had. I love to visit here and meet up with friends before going on to gigs at the Shepherd's Bush Empire which is about 5 mins walk away.

My wife and myself live only a couple of minutes from Signor Sassi. This is our local Italian and we just love it. The food is always excellent and Mario the owner and all his staff always give us superb service. We have been eating at Signor Sassi for over 20 years and have never had a bad meal. Often we take friends to eat there and many now eat there regularly. A must if you are in the area you will not be disappointed. Jill and Lawrence Collins

Another great find. Have been to this restaurant 3 times, Fantastic. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful explaining what is on offer. The servers are well versed as they glide between the tables with each skewer of meat for you to try, by the way, this keeps coming until you say stop!!!! Great food and a Very entertaining evening Plus you can always boast of having a "Brazilian" with out the pain. Enjoy

The Windmill does such fantastic food, it's such a surprise, getting lovely Italian food in a casual pub setting. I'd definitely recommend the Windmill.

When roaming the streets of South London, the smells of sizzling 100% Devon beef wafts out as you walk along this cobbled street. It beckons, with a tantalizing promise to hush those wolves in the tum forever. A photo of this diner in Time with their plastic tomato shaped ketchup bottles and the presence of many other diners prompted us to venture in. You find your seats, scope out the extensive food-between-buns menu, place and pay your order at the counter and wait to be served. The selections of burgers were plentiful and cosmopolitan in style satisfying even the picky vegetarian palate of my halal-only partner with their overflowing offering of goats cheese and roast aubergine burger. Even though this place caters mainly to the beef lover the menu provides even chicken, lamb, vegetarian and nut-free options! Salads, fries and sauces are add-on options, and my only dissapointment was the awful chilli-mayo sauce. One of the best was the Jamaican Burger, with its ginger and mango sauce. To die for. Their classic burgers were excellent, as you could choose to have your meat cooked well done, medium, rare and all the combinations in between. The chicken burger option was so-so, I love my chicken juicy, and the breast meat, though well grilled, wasn't the best I'd sunk my teeth into. Overall rating between our group of 6pax? 7 out of 10.

The first time i walked past Baraka i thought it would be pricey and typical like most other restaurants, but the moment i looked at the menu i knew i had to have a taste of there lamb chops with the cous cous ... if that wasn’t enough we got free poppadoms and salad while we waited for our food to arrive...the food was not just excellent but the service was outstanding and the waiters were friendly and helpful .. my meal came up to under £10 ... will defo recommend this place to everyone that wants a low budget meal and for small gatherings ... the atmosphere was lovely and the decor was modern ..

Japanese restaurant in the Kyoto style. The service was exceptional, and the staff were very happy to help and explain the menu. We decided to do the Japanese sharing style of service, which is great if there are two of you. One of the dishes was Amberjack, a fish unknown to us. It came with a paper bowl of soup on a flame stove. The idea was to place a piece of the fish in the soup and cook it to your taste. It was beautiful. We can highly recommend this place, and will be going back for sure.

We went on a group of girls of 5 we had fun lots to eat lots to drink we got legless and we had fun had a few shots they are cheap and u also have a big range of choice. u can sit inside or outside u choose where u want depends how the weather is ..... Last and not least the service was good and on time and our bill came up to £130.00..... Good or what

What a great place, great food, great staff and most importantly quiet and perfect. Would recommend, must see and go place.

The food is great value for money. You can get the daily special, which includes salad, chapati and a really gorgeous rice pudding, and a beer for less than £10. Service isn't exacly quick, but it's so close to my office that's not much of an issue for me. The other non-specials on the menu look fab as well, and I only see "clean plates" when the tables are being cleared!
