My husband and I went for afternoon tea last Sunday and so it comes with a Sunday lunch theme. How clever! Prawn cocktail, mini Yorkshire pudding, mini shepherds pie and a tart and a cup of delicious soup. Sandwiches with turkey, cranberry and stuffing and pork with stuffing and apple sauce. A fantastic array of cakes and amazing scones with jam and clotted cream. As much tea as we could drink and excellent service. This was a present for our gold wedding anniversary. Thank you Sue.

This wasn't our 1st visit - but it was my parents. Prosecco cream tea for 4 ! What a beautiful building, with beautiful surroundings to have this memorable couple of hours together. When we arrived we were shown to the morning room before settling into our seats in this gorgeously atmospheric room. It was set up so wonderfully - cups and saucers, china plates & glasses for our fizz. We were greeted to 2 lovely staff who immediately made us feel special. The lady sat us down with a lovely welcome while the gentleman served us our fizz. Once settled in we had a moment to take in the surroundings and appreciate just how beautiful it was in there - the smell, the sounds, it really is a special place. We had a cheer's for our celebration and we then brought 2 large pots of tea to start as the food was collected. I had sent a food request in beforehand as I can't eat bread. I received a beautifully laid out salad with ham and egg - which was lovely. Everyone else had their sandwiches - 4 different fillings & bagels - they assured me they were yummy - they never left a crumb - all washed down with 4 cups of soup. The cakes we were served on the tiered plates looked amazing! They certainly tasted as good as they looked too! Huge fruit meringues, sponge with peach & tumeric, Lemon posset with macaroons. We soon polished those off but we didn't have room for them all - we had to leave room for the hot fruit scones that came out with jams & clotted cream! WOW! they were honestly the best scones Ive ever had! Unfortunately they beat us too, but we didn't waste anything... we were given a box to take home the leftover sweets in & they were enjoyed later with a brew. At 1 point the lady came and took some pictures of everyone in the room for their own private use - a nice touch for us all. We were looked after so well - constantly asked if we'd like top up of anything & even telling us stories about yesteryear, the hall, etc. It was another truly magical 90 mins, that went so fast & was just perfect. We're not local - we live in the East Midlands - but we WILL be back again for another one next time we are up. Thanks everyone for such a special time. 5 Stars

I have taken two friends on separate occasions, each time it was absolutely lovely. Staff and food were absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is excellent, it really felt like a bit of luxury.

I took my friend for her birthday. The afternoon tea was very enjoyable and plentiful. We were kept topped up with plenty of tea and Bridget was extremely pleasant and personable, taking great care of us. Thank you for a memorable experience

And excellent experience food good naughty but nice. The staff very attentive and friendly nothing too much trouble. The atmosphere with the old fashion background music fitted the Clifton’s music room we were having afternoon tea in. It is value for money not just for the food or service but also for the ambiance of the experience -

I regularly bring friends and family from the USA for afternoon tea and they are always most impressed. This visit Ig did not learn one had dietary needs until the day we were coming. The staff were so helpful and obliging and went the extra mile to accommodate her needs at the last minute. One of the visitors had been on a previous trip and mentioned to the waiter how she had loved a lemon posset they served last time. He brought her a take home container of the posset before we left. She was so touched and impressed. Thank you for the excellent, friendly and obliging service and the great food. I will continue making afternoon tea at Lytham Hall a must for all my visitors.

My two friends & I had a wonderful afternoon at Lytham Hall. The afternoon tea was plentiful & delicious, thankfully we could bring some of it home for later. The (mostly) volunteer staff were very efficient, friendly & helpful. Keep up the good work, we will definitely be back .

Beautiful setting, lovely food and attention to detail. We could not manage all the food but there were no issues with having the surplus boxed up to take home. Staff were very welcoming and could not do enough to help. Highly recommended!

This is a fabulous place for afternoon tea in Lytham Hall. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The afternoon tea is served by some lovely ladies who will cater to all dietary needs. The food is exquisitely set out and is wonderful. Highly recommended.

Our afternoon tea in the library yesterday was perfect. We felt so relaxed and cared for. Everyone was delightful. It was celebrating our 58th anniversary. We've been with friends before, but decided to always go together for future anniversaries.
