My wife and I had never eaten Scandinavian style food before, but we loved our meal here. Tasty food, great service in a lovely relaxed restaurant atmosphere. A great meal.

Spotted thi on TripAdvisor. We were looking for something a little different for a lunch. It was a great choice. The Salt bar is quite cosy and is tucked away in a quiet location down from the main church. The food is definitely interesting. It is basically fairly simple food but the subtle Scandinavian twists mark it out from the crowd. We particularly enjoyed the Scandinavian style meatballs accompanied by a great sauce. We will go back!

It was a very nice meal, and the atmosphere is great. The only complaint was that the skewered prawns were way over priced - £15! and the olives are apparently 66p each.

Top class staff, food and service.

Another great visit to this little restaurant, food cooked well and staff were friendly and gave great service as always, if you are in the area and like good well cooked food I can highly recommend a visit to the Salt Bar

The food was great as always (although the Catalan bread was too soft this time you couldn’t even pick it up just fell apart!) and the portions are so big so we all thought it was great value for money! The service was ok we have had better on our other visits - one of the staff looked like she didn’t want to be there at all which was just a bit off putting. But overall still good and a lovely evening!

This place is serving the type of food which Prestbury has needed for many years. Excellent ‘tapas’ and wine both very well priced with good service and lovely ambience. Despite website suggestion that diners have only two hours we have never been pressurised to leave before we were ready. Highly recommend.

My first visit to the salt bar. Had lunch with a friend and the food was pretty amazing. Very tasty, attractive and very nutritious, we were spoilt for choice. Milly was very attentive and we were looked after very well. Next time I’ll be taking my husband.

Food was good. Service a bit iffy - had to chase multiple times for menus/ wine choice ran out after first bottle/ bill miscalculated/ no real sense of anyone looking after our table of four.

Lovely garden room and great service but very disappointing food.

Amazing food and service. Me and my partner love going here for a Friday lunch date. I’ve been many times in the past and it’s always been fab. The food has been excellent every single time. There’s not been a dish I’ve not enjoyed. The servers are always friendly and considerate and the chef is lovely too. I’d highly recommend.

Excellent food & service as always

Six of us met as friends for a holiday celebration dinner. This is the perfect place for a casual interesting meal, with lots of tapas choice. We shared five starters, then shared seven mains. Everything was excellent, tasty, plenty for six people and served with care and attention. It could not have been better!

Very pleasant furnishings and hospitable atmosphere. Food and service both very good. Extensive choice of meat, chicken, fish and vegetarian options. Portions quite generous. Highly recommend.
