The best service in Manchester. Great interior. Good sushi. Very nice place overall.
Sapporo Teppanyaki Manchester – Manchester City CentreHad the most delicious meal at Teppanyaki. Would highly recommend the beef shashimi to start, so good. Prawn and monkfish cooked in front of us on the hotplate was fantastic, as was the steak with mushroom stuffing. We both agreed that it was the best japanese meal we'd ever tasted and will be going back as soon as possible.
Teppanyaki Chinatown – Manchester City Centrewe always go here on special occasions for two things a) the atmosphere and b) the food. the staff are helpful and friendly and the food is amazing. well worth a visit
Old Orleans – The PrintworksBright and modern looking interior with a spacious feeling to the restaurant. The food on the English menu is pretty much what you'd expect in Chinatown but the portions were large, well presented and very tasty - we couldn't fault the meal at all. The restaurant was busy with people from the Chinese community and seems to be popular with the young. One thing I'd love to see in all Chinese restaurants is maybe some of the dishes that are on the Chinese menu in English - too often you are sat there and you think that looks nice that those people are eating. Overall a two course meal for two, two bottles of wine, coffee and brandy for less than £60 and no service on top. We'll be going back.
Fus Chinese Restaurant Cafe – Manchester City CentreI visited with my girlfriend on a Friday evening during a weekend in Manchester. The food and the atmosphere was just perfect....as much in we returned on the Saturday evening to dine again!! The menu is very easy to understand not like your typical Chinese, the prices are reasonable and the service prompt and friendly. Anyone planning a visit must try the Scallops they are pricey at £3.00 each but absolutely delicious and simply melt in your mouth. The dim sums we tried were fabulous and the Fillet steak Cantonese style was perfect. The best Chinese in Manchester by far and we will most definitely visit again!!
Pacific – Manchester City CentreJust cannot fault this place, a top, top recommendation, try a pint of draught leffe in the lass o Gowrie (just opposite) as an aperitif. EastzEast is now easily the best Indian in Manchester, the food from a varied menu is both superb and plentiful. Without doubt the best in Manchester at the moment.
East z East – Manchester City CentreMy guest and I started with a French Onion Soup with Gruyere Crostini at just short of a fiver - the onion soup was somewhat oily but otherwise fine. The accompanying croutons with barely melted cheese were neither crunchy nor brown. Bangers & Mash for my guest was reasonable and my goat's cheese risotto lacked any real passion, with the goat's cheese being thrown in raw at the end of cooking.
The Living Room – Manchester City Centre16 of us came to Efes for my friend's hen night last Saturday. What an atmosphere! The waiters did a fantastic dance and they got the bride-to-be up belly dancing. The waiters also led everyone round the room in a huge dance round all the tables. Very good food, lots of fun music...Turkish as well as the more usual dancefloor fillers. And they let you dance on the chairs! Brilliant!!!
Efes Restaurant & Taverna – Manchester City CentreA very good restaurant indeed, I think the food is outstanding and when you can eat a starter, main course and either a coffee or ice cream for £4.50 served to perfection then this is a place which should not be missed.
Try Thai – Manchester City Centretop notch cuisine and really great service. Really authentic food which brought memories flooding back of travelling round Thailand. Love this place
Try Thai – Manchester City CentreI have been to Panama Hattys a few times now and would definitely recommend this restaurant. The service is warm, friendly, and efficient. The atmosphere is relaxed. The food is unbelievably good! For the price of the food I don't think this place can be beaten in Manchester!
Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreExtremely good quality of service. But the price of the set menu is not clearly stated 'per person'. If you think that the set menu is cheap, then you will get the bill with the double of what you expect!!!
Siam Orchid – Manchester City CentreI visited Grinch at lunch on a weekday; the food was excellent with very prompt service from a very attractive waitress. I would certainly visit again and would love to see the Jazz singer that is there on a Saturday. Top Marks.
Mud Crab at Grinch – Manchester City CentreIf you, like me are tired of the burger / fries fast food culture (not to mention the health implications) then this is a real alternative. Barburrito's is an Authentic Mexican restaurant with excellent choice of dishes. I have been there 6-7 times over the past month and have never been disappointed by the quality of food or service. Excellent.
Barburrito – Manchester City CentreI eat there at least once a week. I am addicted and so are a number of my colleagues. The garlic naan is only comparable with the small but tasty naans at Shimla. The lamb is tender, the chicken plentiful, the keema spicy. Don't have the Rubicon pop though, it's minging.
Al-Faisal Tandoori – Manchester City CentreThis is a brilliant restaurant!!!! To be honest it's probably my favourite restaurant in all the world!
Ape and Apple – Manchester City CentreFirstly Manchester is a truly great night out now, with Deansgate and Deansgate Locks, the Northern Quarter, Oxford road and of course the gay 'village', you really can? be disappointed. Add in some super new restaurants and its the perfect night out. EASTZEAST is an excellent addition, good location, on princess street behind the BBC, it for us, rivals Rajdoot and Shimlas and we think it wins hands down. Authentic Indian with a great menu (check out the web site, v impressive) v busy on the Friday night, we WILL certainly be going again. Oh yea order a Naan at your peril, there huge!! Massive recommendation.
East z East – Manchester City CentreI've been to the Rice Bowl a couple of times and on both occasions it has been a very enjoyable experience. The food is superb and the menu caters well for us vegetarians. The staff were also excellent and offered a level of service sorely lacking in a lot of restaurants nowadays. On my second visit I was with a party of twelve as it was my birthday. Surprisingly we were able to order from the full menu, something which a lot of restaurants won't allow you to do. At the end of the meal I was presented with ice cream dessert with candles whilst the whole restaurant sang happy birthday. Then to top it all they gave me a box of chocolates and wished me a happy birthday. It's that kind of personal touch that makes all the difference! It's clear to see how this restaurant has lasted over 50 years in the business.
