It was mine and my partner’s first time in Manchester and we like trying different places instead of standard chain restaurants. Came across this place a few times on Tiktok and we was both intrigued and it did not disappoint! The service was great, staff making sure our food was okay and if we needed anything. The food was some of the nicest I’ve had in a long time, I got loaded fries to start and then the Pig and Wings for main and wow is all I can say! My partner got the samosas to start and the Chicken Malay curry for main and he loved them as well! The portion sizes are amazing at a really good price as well, if we was in Manchester longer I would have definitely gone back!

I've now been 5 different times including having 14 people here for my birthday! Love the food, chill atmosphere and always go between Monday and Wednesday for the half price mains! I've raved about it to so many people. Will be back again and again!

Had a great evening with friends. Staff were friendly, nice restaurant, food was very good. Pleasantly surprised with the bill. Very reasonable. Will visit Arnero’s again.

Fantastic food and service

This was my first visit to this restaurant and it certainly will not be my last. From the first welcome at the entrance and throughout our time dining the staff were very polite and professional. The food was superb and great value for money. An ideal place for pre theatre dining.

Had a table with four of us, we each had a starter, main and dessert, we had cocktails, cider and beer and I have to say it was all fabulous, the service was fantastic, the food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable.. would definitely recommend this restaurant, we will be back.

Was such a good, authentic meal!

Great food and service

Reservation at 6pm. Theatre tickets at 7 30. When booking I added that we had theatre tickets and noted that Gio offer a pretheatre menu. As we were given our menus I asked the waiter if we needed to order quickly or just have one course because of timings for the theatre. He said no - that pre-theatre meals is what they are good at. We were ready to order as soon as asked. Garlic bread and salad as starters and pizza and pasta as main. Not too complex. Garlic bread arrived quickly. I had to remind staff about the other starter. At 7pm (an hour after arriving and 30 mins before theatre) i chased our main course. Was not given an update so chased again a few minutes later. Meals did then arrive quickly. But sadly not with enough time to actually eat the pizza. Noone offered an apology voluntarily. Noone offered a discount. When I commented that I was not happy (in response to the "was everything OK?") I was told that next time I come it will be better. As I said, there won't be a next time. Pre theatre meals is literally supposed to be what Gio does - not if you want to eat your meal and see the first half in my experience

Lovely little place,good food and service

Have dined in Gio’s many times. Food is always consistently lovely with good sized portions. Very friendly staff, helpful and attentive. Pleasant atmosphere and look forward to returning - again. Recommended.

We went to Giorgios after the theatre one evening and were very impressed. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious, the service was fast and efficient and there was a wonderful ambience within the restaurant. I would definitely eat there again and highly recommend it.

I have lived in Ancoats for a year and a half and only recently discovered this place! We had monkey gland chicken wings, bunny chow and chicken totostie(I think) for main. Everything was amazing! And to top it off it was 50% off mains and happy hour for drinks so the overall bill was very good value for money! Will definitely return

All of the food and flavors I enjoyed in South Africa served in a great space. Can’t wait to eat there again. They run amazing specials early in the week that make it possible to have a great meal even on a budget so take advantage of those!
