Came here Saturday 10 th June 2023, not been for a few years as they had changed the chef so food wasn’t as good but we decided to give it another try and so glad we did as when we got in there my partner Lee noticed that the old chef was back and it was so nice to see him, the food was amazing and a big shout out to our waiter Abdel he was really good very attentive and just a really lovely man nothing too much trouble for him and also a big shout out to Jalal the chief , we love this place and would highly recommend it so do give it a try you won’t be disappointed oh and they also have a takeaway service that is open till 4 in the morning.

Great service and food. Fabulous pre theatre meal and great location to theatre. Service excellent, table ready and waiting. Staff friendly and polite…..even when we arrived slightly late due to traffic chaos over rail strike that day. This business needs your support so if you want a lovely location with great food and efficient prompt service…..go ahead and book.

We had the pre theatre menu, really nice food and good generous portions, great service, nice surroundings. Drinks are a little pricey but overall an excellent experience

As party of four who were visiting Manchester for a meeting, we decided to give Arnero a try as it was close to our hotels. We were more than happy with the service and the standard of the food. Between us we had two starters and four different main courses with various breads and rice dishes. The food was tasty, the portions were generous and the service could not be faulted. The only small criticism was that the menus were a bit sticky where food had been spilt on them. We have recommended the restaurant to colleagues and will be back at some point in the not too distant future.

Visited Saturday May 27th and couldn't have been happier. Chose to have a table outside as the weather was lovely. Food was fantastic, I had the mixed meat sosatie (good amount of spice) and my wife had the malay curry. The staff pleasant and attentive. With being in at 5 we also caught the 2 for £10 on cocktails, bonus. Will definitely be going back to sample more mixed plates.

As a fellow South African I expected a little more Saffa food. Not everyone enjoys hot and spicy but since it is called Chakala I suppose it works. Maybe add some favourites like Bobotie, small black potjies with beef pot jie kos and so on. Overall not bad but expected more.

Excellent quality food, authentically Italian cuisine & friendly, attentive staff with relaxed atmosphere in city centre of vibrant Manchester. Speed of service “typically Italian” & not rushed, so expect to be in the restaurant couple hours for 3 courses.

I’ve walked past this restaurant for years. Finally booked it last week. Atmosphere is fabulous, food is fabulous and the staff are amazing. Just the right amount of interaction. This will be our place of choice for future meals and date nights. If you haven’t tried Gio, please do you will not be disappointed x

Fancied something a bit different and have lived nearby for years but for some reason never visited this restaurant before. The staff were lovely and food was delicious, we ordered two recommended dishes and were very pleased. A hidden gem that we will return to soon. Thank you
