Wow, what a difference! They have taken over the shop next door and more than doubled the space. Looks great and still the same fab cocktails. Food is good too!!

Their express lunch represents great value at £7 for the stew of the day or £10 with another side!

Fabulous birthday meal here on Saturday!!

Our indulgence is to eat at good restaurants and we thought we would give Neighbourhood a try. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing......we ordered the bread basket at £4.50 thinking that we could ‘share’ but it was two tiny rolls that wasn’t even cooked in the middle. The NY Pretzel starter was smothered with mustard that brought tears to your eyes at first bite. The seared scollops were good but cold. The pot roast chicken thigh looked unappetising and the taste was below par. The lobster mac and cheese was swimming in a thin sauce and there were only two tiny pieces of lobster in it. We were so disappointed that we had to go to Carluccio’s nearby for coffee and dessert to cheer us up! The music was good but extremely loud and more suitable to a bar than a restaurant. Disgruntled

Oooh it will be an hour before you get a table. We waited patiently back in the bar and eventually were seated. Only about half the tables were full? So what was with the wait and poncey greeter? I am cured of all the burger bars that proliferate everywhere. However I must say that this was the best burger I have had yet. Cannot remember the name but it had bacon in. Please loose the naff greeter bouncer combination but well done on the food.

Tried Mei Dim for first time, dim sum fantastic and rumour has it it's the dim sum chef from the Tai Wu.... that's says It all. Louis manager there great food and service. Soon be back.

Went with the staff after the NRB and the service was fantastic, all the staff had smiles on their faces and nothing was too much trouble. The food was full of flavour and tasted fresh. We all said we would definitely go back! Tomas really looked after us!

The full suckling pig was awesome! So tender it could be cut up using a side plate! A definite must try!

Stunning looking restaurant in Spinningfields. Love Spanish food and these guys are now the best operators for this cuisine in town. Hugely successful London venues this their first outside the capital. Tapas choices excellent as was the wine we chose and list as a whole. Will be visiting regularly.

Service excellent for first night and late table. We shared a 950c chateaubriand which was stunning although at £130 not cheap. Free starters of ginger pork bellies was good but not my thing. Excellent wine list and do half bottles of good wines which is a great idea - we had 1.5 bottles which worked better than 2! My partner had a dessert that was apparently very good as well. All in very impressive, not cheap (£260 all in) but best steak restaurant in Manchester by country mile.

The restaurant felt a bit busy with a few too many tables possibly. On more than one occasion I was caught by a passing waiter / patron, it made me want to hit someone!! Staff were dressed down and wouldn't have looked out of place at Reds or Almost Famous, maybe that's the London influence but it did have the feel of a burger joint at times and when they are positioning themselves as a high end steak restaurant it felt more Northern Quarter to me. Challenger for the Gaucho but very different and not necessarily better.

The Hawksmoor was absolutely a.m.a.z.i.n.g! Best food we have all had for a long time didn't want it to end!! The service was also excellent. Really nice atmosphere and amazing cocktails, had a gin Bloody Mary which I'd never had before which was lush.

We have now been a number of times and this is our favourite Manchester restaurant for lunch and evening meals. Consistently good food, drinks, service and atmosphere.

I asked Sugarvine for a place for brunch in the NQ. They recommended Home Sweet Home and I am vey glad they did. The best I've had in ages, it was bloody ace!

Group of 12 of us went for a work do and the food was amazing! The staff were lovely, would definitely recommend to a friend! Looking forward to my next visit!!!!

Great night with great food!! We were party of 7 and right from the get go we were looked after! The Spanish waitress was attentive and recommended the Mexican street food! My wife had the veg enchilada and I had the steak! Believe it or not I had food envy :/ all our table couldn't believe we haven't had a night there before, as when we were thinking where to go we all decided to stay as the place was pumping upstairs!!The atmosphere was awesome! We'll be back!!

Had a great night at El Capo on Saturday night. Food, atmosphere and drinks all spot on. We will be back!
