Warm welcome. Food lovely as always. Small room up the step, was looking very unwelcoming, sparse. Shame the meet and greet chap is leaving, he is so good at his job.

We had a fantastic meal and the staff were very friendly. 10/10.

Firstly I have been to this restaurant 2/3 times in the past and everything has been great however last night not so great... when we walked in the staff basically ignored us, then while I was eating my starter the main came out way before finishing, then I asked for ketchup and napkins which never came so I had to ask twice by that time my food was cold, they forgot my bacon in my burger which got brought out separately, they didn’t ask us if we wanted desert I had to get up to find someone to pay the bill even know this is against restrictions, there was no QR code to track and trace no wonder they made us start a tab straight away poor service let the food down.

Sadly not up to your usual standard. Steak was a bit dry and not nearly as succulent as usual.

Easy to book a table online, when we arrived we were show straight to our table wish was stained and covered in salt, we sat for 35 minutes waiting for someone to come and take our order which was a bit surprising as there wasn't many other diners, the food came quite quickly and was fine but when we were finished we were not offered any choice of dessert, I had to approach the bar to ask for the bill, I must say the standard has really dropped in service and cleanliness, your staff are nice enough but could do with some lessons in customer service.

Very pleasant experience, lunchtime menu very good value. Covid necessary alterations to service, ordering food and drink etc well thought out. Easy to book a table online. It was good to be able to go out for lunch midweek. Thank you.

I’m sad to say this was probably the worst service I’ve ever had here. We arrived before 8 and I could only see another 2 or 3 tables max. Food was ok but it was the length of time it took to arrive and we only had a main. It appeared as if there was only one staff member working and we did think that the reason service was slow was because he was doing everything even the cooking but who knows. Maybe it was because it was a slow Thursday night.

We have been visiting this pub for many years ,lunch and evening ,we have always been happy with the service and friendliness of the staff ,and have never had reason to complain about the food ,the fact we keep returning says it all ,particularly at lunch times !

This was a Birthday treat from my Daughter. Unfortunately not. We was seated at our table and left 35 minuets before our drink order was taken this was only after my daughter had to remind them that we was there. The food not what it used to be staff need to take a course on customer services. As for Jake he needs hanger management lessons. This was our have pub for friendly staff good food and a good atmosphere. Not any moor.

Ate here Saturday night. Food amazing as always, service however wasn’t great. Tables had empty plates on them. Rolls of foil and old napkins lying about. Food on the floor around our table. Very strict at having to wear a mask but not so strict on the cleanliness and hygiene. It all felt a bit grubby is is very very unusual for here. Probably just having an off night as we all do. Will not put me off coming back as have been coming To this pub for 20 years x.

We traveled from Peterborough to eat here for my father in laws 60th birthday on 3/10/20. The food was lovely however the service was absolutely appalling and we won’t be returning. I had booked a table and when we arrived I was told people had already been sat at the reserved table so one was made up for us. After we had finished our mains we waited at least half an hour for the table to be cleared and another half hour before they offered us desert. Once we had finally ordered a waitress came and charged us for the food we hadn’t even eaten yet! Very unprofessional. Staff then came back one by one to tell us that 3 of the 4 deserts we asked for weren’t available. We were happy to have other options but just felt this was very unorganised. When desert came I had ice cream instead of the cream I had asked for and when I asked the waitress to change this she stormed off huffing and puffing. Over all this was an awful experience. Don’t waste your money here!

We had a great meal ,I had the braised beef my wife had the sirloin steak both were so tasty and great portions .we used the app and also the manager attended to us with drinks .not as full and atmospheric as might have been because of the pandemic but well worth a visit thanks .

We were here on Friday 25 Sep we had a fantastic meal food was great so was the service . With the present situation as it is we felt safe eating here . We will be coming back very soon .

Great atmosphere and food was delicious. It was one of my favourite places to go

Went for a meal for my mums 50th, unfortunately we won’t be returning! Food was awful, chips looked like they had been fried several times, as well as other components to our meals! No one ate all of their meal as it wasn’t good and that isn’t like my family! On the upside, the staff were friendly!

service was great, friendly, helpful staff. Took a birthday cake for my daughter's birthday and they brought it out with the candles and sang happy birthday to her . Food was lovely great portions and quality. Would recommend

I was introduced to this pub by my partner, was our first dinner date and it’s become a special place for us. Service is second to none, food is lovely. We had the steaks and I would rate it very highly. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a lovely meal, in a lovely setting.
