The food is really good and everyone is really friendly! There is no lack of the same quality for take-away meals either... I recommend the Masala absolutely!

Fantastic place, fantastic food and fantastic people

A real gem in the crown of what Morecambe should be, a shining light. Simply delightful. Too many complaints flying around that the service is not good, but i wish these egg heads that write these reviews would define what they mean by service. Does anyone really know what they mean by service. The service was amazing, we were looked after, yes things weren't rushed, if you want rushed food go to McDonald's. Some people really are idiots, the staff allow you to enjoy your time at the Midland. If you order a bottle of wine why should it appear straight away. It should be carefully selected to ensure the right bottle is brought to you. If you order a beer it isn't magic-ed up. The staff pay attention to detail, they are passionate about what they do. They may be young but they make the experience fun, as they all know about what they are selling. Can you think that maybe if they rushed you the food would be shocking and the service would then be awful and you would feel like you were being pushed out very quickly for the next herd to come in. No its hard to get a table because they allow you to take your time. They go the whole hog to deliver the standards set. Situated on the Morecambe promenade, this small Chinese restaurant offers great food at reasonable prices. Only a few doors away is the "Honey Tree" chinese restaurant, which is much bigger, much pricier, and not quite as good.

Well, having read so much bad press about the midland recently I decided to go and take a look with my husband and the kids. I rang the hotel to see if we needed to make a reservation. We did they are so busy you have to book. When we arrived we were greeted by the restaurant manager Victoria. She explained our table wasn't ready, but we were very early, so we took a tour of the fantastic hotel while we waited. There was no childrens menu in place, a godsend if you ask me, children should eat adult food otherwise they don't appreciate good quality when they are older. I opted for the scallops to start, delicious with black pudding and a poached egg. My husband tried the Smoked Goosnargh duck breast salad with a raspberry vinaigrette. Certainly a delight to start off the meal. For mains the kids both had the trio of sausage, I tried the perfectly cooked salt marsh lamb and my husband had the halibut. We were too full for dessert but enjoyed coffee in the sun terrace, my husband had a vodka martini, made exactly to his liking by Dave the new food and beverage manager, who talked about the drink and about its origins and seemed to be rather knowledgeable. I will be coming back to the Midland hotel to try lunch in the Rotunda bar, The Lancastrian Tapas looks very different. Also the afternoon teas sound very delicious and a very good price too. I suggest that anyone and everyone tries this brilliant restaurant with exclusive decor!

The Midland is back!!! This beautiful modernist Art Deco building has been fully restored AND updated by Urban Splash. After only ten weeks in business, it is making a bold statement in style and quality. At the moment, a la carte is the order of the day, and prices match the sourcing of local delicacies eg Port of Lancaster Trout and a brill selection of local cheeses. Views from the well appointed terrace restaurant are stunning - as you dine the sun sinks slowly behind the Furness Peninsula and glimmers across the waters of the bay. WOW! For a city dwelling foodie, seek it out and enjoy a truly gastronomic and accomodational experience. If taking kids - beware of eating in. At present there isn't anything for them to eat for Dinner, although breakfast for my two (aged 13 and 10 was wicked!!! This place deserves to be visited, especially if you are after something really special. Attention to detail and brill service is the order of the day. I say -GO NOW!!!

Excellent simple Indian food served by usual friendly staff. Bring your own bottle is a bonus and adds to the simplicity of this place. Very Good Dan Liverpool

We go to Alfredos every week after trying nearly every restaurant in Morecambe and Lancaster this has to be the best yet. The service is excellent, the food portions are more than generous and its affordable. It has a great atmosphere perfect for any occasion I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough

Called in for lunch one day every week all last summer, excellent value and service and will be back again as soon as the season starts, brilliant!!!!!!

An excellent restaurant - one of the best Chinese in the North -West. Certainly better than most that are raved about in Manchester City Centre. Becomes even better value with a Hi-Life Card as it can be used every visit.

We have been going here for 20 years and it is always excellent. There new sister restaurant in witherslack, Grange over sands is also the best in the Lake District.

Just sampled Bow Window for the first time. We feel that we would have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant to anyone who would appreciate a place, which offered that something different. Really nice surroundings with a fantastic view of the bay. The service was attentive when required. The food was quite delicious, freshly cooked and included those little extra additions which make a huge difference from one restaurant to another. In addition we were presented with a good selection of wonderful wines. A place to return to!
