I love this restaurant, however, I can't understand why it is so LOUD in there, you really have to shout to make yourself heard, even if you are talking to your companion next to you, the food is excellent and it is in walking distance of my home but I wish they would get the noise sorted.

Ponte Di Legno – Moseley

A party of 13 friends assembled at this establishment for a birthday party, the table was booked for 7.30, on arrival it was obvious that the establishment was over subscribed and not enough qualified staff to cope. The service was dreadful, the menu's were in short supply to enable us to order, the wine glasses the same to the point that they were almost snatched out of our hands as soon as they were empty, the food arrived (eventually) at about 9.00pm, all the starters were mixed up and so it continued. The eventual cost should have been in excess of £400 which my daughters refused point blank to pay in total. The owners were not in the least apologetic for the dismal evening and the ruined birthday evening, not to mention the spoiled evening for all those who attended. Take advice do not visit this venue if you expect good polite prompt and pleasant service. The other partner (male) became very aggressive when we attempted to discuss our grievances. Avoid at all costs.

I had the best fish and chips I've ever had from this chip shop, I'll definitely be going again! To the other person who left the review saying they use beef dripping, I asked and they don't they use pure vegetable oil which is also free from hydrogenated fats, so thumbs up there!

whats going on with quality of fish the batter looked really dark and the staff were very stroppy but pedro seemed happy, but the food just wasn't up to scratch. price was too high

This licenced restaurant is very well decorated in a modern design but suitable for all tastes and ages. The food is excellent along with the service and the staff are very pleasant. The only disappointment is the car park, it is quite small but that can always be overcome. Each time i have been there it has been fairly early but it does liven up later on about 8 - 8.30pm.. I can recommend this restaurant.

The conversion of an old part of Moseley which I can remember into such a great space for a restaurant is very innovative. The host and hostess were very welcoming and full of natural charm. The service was very good for such a busy evening. The food was exceptional with lots of individual flavours and spices - not just the brown gravy type of curry. A slightly pricey meal when compared to High St curry prices but well worth it for a wonderful evening.

we come here lunchtimes at least twice a week, its not expensive at all. The food is fresh and the service is friendly and laid back, quite quick and unobtrusive. The steak in mushroom sauce is to die for. They are also doing art exhibitions now which makes for something interesting to look at while you eat. We had the best chips ever here, really very tasty. Highly recommended for daytime eating

Brilliant. I recently organised a dinner there for 24 of us. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was served fairly quickly, generous portions and delicious. Because the restaurant is BYO, it also keeps the cost down. The total was £214 for the 24 of us, and that was with us ordering more food than we could eat (the nan breads are huge). I would say one of the best currys (let alone baltis) I've had in a while. Really excellent.

Wow, this place really is unbelievable, the food is to die for, try the sizzling beef and the chicken satay, the service is faultless, the ambience is so cool with totally non-Thai music instead there was funky cuban and Jamaican rhythms ..... I gotta go again real soon

Nice tapas but no main meal such as Paella. A basket of toasted baguette (one) at £2.50 was quite extortionate. We ended up spending £12.50 on bread! for four people. Beware.

Went to La Fibule for the first time 18 months ago and then took friends regularly fab atmosphere and wonderful food and staff - had a 3 month break. Went again this week menu has changed to accommodate anglo taste I think - but still very good - really sorry that they no longer do the shoulder of lamb for 2. But a great meal and super ambience Snoggie - Solihull

WOW WOW WOW!!! The food was amazing, the staff were fun, very helpful and friendly, the music was wicked! This place is the perfect place for a party or a romantic meal. I often go on my own just to chill to the cool music and enjoy the great food. i would recommend this to everyone! You have to be mad not to like this place.

My favourite Italian restaurant, better than any in Rome - fantastic food (every time) at reasonable prices and bring your own alcohol. Not a romantic venue but still excellent for special occasions and with family and friends. You must book though as always busy even mid week.

My friends and I visited La Fibule after recommendations on this website. Thank you! We had a fantastic night out. Due to being busy, the earliest booking we could get on a Saturday night was 9.30pm. We got moved tables twice but ended up at the top of the restaurant at the low tables. We all loved these tables, but they may prove problematic for tall people. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. So much so that it took us until 10.30pm to get our food. It was worth the wait - delicious. The meat was tender with fabulous flavours and the vegetarian option was cooked perfectly. Our side orders came out at different times but this meant we could enjoy it as it came along. We also waited quite a while for our after dinner drinks. Highly recommend the mint tea. We finally finished around 12.30. Go and sample La Fibule - but make sure you have a whole evening free to truly relax and enjoy the meal and atmosphere.

This is a great Italian and i would recommend it to anyone looking for great food and good prices! If you want to eat on a weekend i would recommend booking as every visit i've made the place has been full. Bring your own alcohol keeps the price very reasonable. 10 out of 10.
