Boss food and drinks, great atmosphere and dead safe.
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillFood was nice, but atmosphere wasn’t great as there were too many people in a small area. Service was slow and drink were expensive given the fact that they were served in a plastic cup.
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillOn arrival, it was immensely busy and we settled ourselves in for a slow service. How wrong we were!! The staff were polite and attentive, moving quickly and purposefully between groups. The drinks were most welcome after months of lockdown and the quality of the food was marvellous. The chips were only just warm, but considering we were eating outside in the cold, it was a small issue. Our family had a wonderful night out and the staff are to be commended for their efficient and friendly service. Thank you.

Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillBella is the best! Love the Dovey.
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillNot a pub I've frequented for quite a while and i'm sure its changed hands many times over the years. It has a rustic and pleasant interior and a spacious outside area with parking for a good number of cars. It was well organised following Covid guidelines and we felt quite safe as everyone followed the designated protocols. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Food was pretty average and as expected for a Pub, but we were there for socialising rather than the gastronomic experience, and suited our purpose well.
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillWe booked a table for 12 o’clock, got there about 11:50 and was told to sit in the beer garden and wait until they opened, which was fine we were early. The beer garden however was filthy. All of the glasses from the night before still on all the tables, full ash trays, lemons and crisp packets on the floor it was just a mess. 12 o’clock someone came out with a brush and started to brush up, asking us to pass him the rubbish from under our table! Still no one came to seat us or acknowledge that we had a table booked. Another lady was sat waiting too and she was just as annoyed as us. In these circumstances I’m sorry but the mess from the night before should be cleaned straight away. It’s not acceptable to turn up to your booking and sit in last nights mess, so obviously no cleaning had been done! We got up and left at about 10 past 12 and certainly will not be going back!
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillThis was my first time going to the Dovedale towers and I certainly won’t be going back. The place itself is nice, clean and modern... however the food and waiting staff were diabolical. Took over 40mins to get the drinks we ordered (one pint and a bottle of cider). While I appreciate everyone is getting used to the new way of eating out post corona virus, there was hardly anyone sat inside, so the place wasn’t full, even with social distancing I don’t see how it could have taken so long. We ordered food which took over 2 hours to come. The waitress was unbelievably rude when we asked how long our food would be after 90 minutes,. Then when then food came it wasn’t what we ordered. The waitress stood there repeating what was in the box over and over again as if we couldn’t see what she had brought us. However that doesn’t change the fact it wasn’t what we ordered. Mistakes happen but she snatched it back and stormed back to the kitchen as if we were lying, she returned 10 mins later with the food we ordered. However it was burnt, cold and as dry as the Sahara. The food o had ordered had lost all warmth and was also as dry as anything mu the time we both had our meals so we ended up eating a few chips, thowing it in the bin and going home. I could of forgiven the food and drinks taking an age if the waitress was polite, I understand she was busy but at the end of the day her attitude was unacceptable. Won’t be going back, would rather eat a burger from maccies.
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillWasn't very nice food. Kids pizza made of baguettes with topping the texture of toothpaste. I know they do a more conventional pizza having eaten there before so as a makeshift effort it was rubbish. Jurgen burger, back to drawing board on that, didnt work. May have hit a bad day as food has been good there before. Chips lovely. Service lovely dissapointed at lack of breakfast option.
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillFirstly I want to mention the food is outstanding and the way they maintain the building is impeccable. But I'm so fed up with the snotty and arrogant female staff members! Every time I've been in they are really rude stand behind the bar gossiping and only when they've finished their conversations do they serve you albeit a sense customers are putting them out! The age of these girls really reflects on the behaviour they portray towards customers! Also if they make a mistake they blame the customer. Fundamentally I love so many things about the Doverdale but staff training is a must. Let me be clear most of the male staff are amazing and some of the female but customer service skills need working on! No one wants to feel intimidated when ordering food and drinks.
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillFour of us ate at Dovedale Towers and we enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Three had the pie (one chicken and two vegan) and I had the club sandwich. All the staff were polite and friendly and everyone keeping their distance
