I went with my husband we booked in advance when we arrived we were directed to a table by the window. We don't like sitting on show other tables available so we sat near the entrance that was ok. We ordered our meal and the starters came really quick piping hot. My husband ordered sweet potato dipped in batter which he enjoyed. I had prawn rolls it was not quite what I expected but it was ok. One waitress took our plates away as soon as we finished and another waitress put our main course on the table. This was too rushed and one of the meals was described as sizzling but it was not. The flavours were nice but the meal was ruined because it was only just warm.We told the waitress the food was not very hot. We felt rushed and it not how we like to feel when eating out. All the time we were there about 12 couples were turned away being told they were booked up and tables reserved. Yet at no time were the empty tables occupied I asked the waitress why they turned so many people away when the tables were empty. I was not really given an answer. The waitress did say we should have said they would have warmed the food up if we would have asked. Fresh stir fried food should be served hot without the need to reheat it. Less than an hour after we arrived we left feeling deflated and let down and felt our comments fell on deaf ears. This could have been a memorable meal but for silly reasons being served in a rush and food not being hot enough we will not go back.

Went to this wonderful restaurant with a group of people from work, food was amazing, service exceptional and decor and surroundings very calm and relaxing. Even though we were a large party, and the restaurant was very busy, we were given full attention by all the staff, our meals were all beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and its staff as the best Thai restaurant I have eaten in.

we have been to Chaba Chaba twice and definitely plan to go again. The service both times was very quick and the staff were friendly. The food is brilliant - this time I ordered the King Prawn starter and the Green Thai Curry (chicken) main and both were absolutely out of this world. Cant wait to go back!

I cannot recommend Damon's at all. I have been on a few occasions for breakfast with friends and family and have never been overly impressed with the food. I usually opt for the breakfast which comes with mixed potatoes, and have requested sausage and bacon instead of sausage/bacon with egg as I do not like egg. I have found the potatoes in the past to be cold, the bacon rubbery and the sausages cheap tasting. The main reason I will not be returning is the treatment I received on my last visit. I was served by a young Asian gentleman with a noticeable hairstyle (look out for him) who chose to question the manager about my decision to opt out of having egg on my breakfast. He returned, refusing my request to substitute egg for bacon. I told him I was allergic to dairy products. He returned to his manager and then questioned as to whether I would be having milk in my tea. His attitude was disgusting. He said the manager would come and see me and I said I would like to see them. The manager never appeared. I was granted the privilege of having a cheap sausage and bacon combination with cold potatoes as a one-off, but informed this would not be allowed to happen again. I wish the manage had a backbone and had come to see me. I would have kindly infromed him that his and that particular staff member's attitude were appalling. Do NOT go to Damon's.

I went to Chaba Chaba 2 weeks ago - This simply is the best Thai restaurant I have eaten in in the UK. When we went in it was packed but we were given a table near the bar. The only one. Manager was apologetic but we were fine there and enjoyed ourselves. The food was amazing! it was well cooked and very very tasty. The service was brilliant! staff friendly and quick. Defo one to go to and I know I will be going back there! looking forward to eating the crying tiger again! and the sea bass.. mmmmm

Went to the New York on a weekday evening - good service from both staff, attentive without being overbearing. Sometimes I feel places like yates do not ask if everything is ok enough and some more fancy places never leave u alone. Had a small steak for £6.50 (forget the new york themed name) and it was excellent, cooked perfectly, although there was only a few other eating so i couldnt say if the quality is worse when busy. my wife enjoyed her meal too, a burger. Simple food certainly, but we felt full and satisfied by the service from the young waitress and barman and never had to move for sauces/drinks etc. Drinks did go up at 8PM, although this was explained to us, although we had gone on other drinks that are not affected by then. 8/10, would recommend.

My husband and I ate here on Friday night in early May for my birthday. I was sincerely impressed by the staff, service provided and the food itself. We requested a different table to sit at which, due to being fully booked, they were not able to accommodate. However they were keen to stress that as soon as another table became free we would be moved. Each person who attended our table had been informed of our request and we knew they were trying their best to help us. The food was absolutely delicious and we will return but the stand out aspect of this restaurant above 99% of others is their superb customer service.

Just passing and popped in for a coffee. Had a go at the daily special, home made roast pepper soup followed by caramelised onion and brie omelette. For a small cafe the quality of the food was exceptional,,omelette moist inside, brie flavour clear but not overpowering etc. Staff young helpful and smiley. Worth going just for the special.

Felt a bit miffed because we went on Mothers day - enticed in by the poster stating 'Sunday 2 courses for £12.90' only to be told it wasn't available because it was mother's day! Ended up staying because we thought we wouldn't get in anywhere else - food was excellent and plentiful!

We went on Mothering Sunday for breakfast. With being Mothers day we expected a wait for the food too arrive and would understand the odd mistake. It started off really well, the waitress was very attentive and polite. That is where the positive ends I am afraid. We waited for over 40 mins for our food to start arriving. We ordered 2 Eggs Benedict, an omlette, a breakfast and some toast for the boys. One eggs benedict arrived after 40 minutes and the other meals did not arrive for another 25 minutes, by which point our friend had eaten his. So was left to watch us eat ours. We spoke politely to the floor manager, who did not seem interested or bothered. It took the waitress to ask the manager to offer us a free coffee in the end. The food is mediocre at best but reasonably priced. I would not recommend this restaurant because not only is food mediocre the floor manager did not seem to care about his floor. He seemed more interested in his friends who happened to dining at the time we where there.

Never had a bad meal here, we almost always go for the tea time special good value for 3 courses.

we bought a groupon and tried to book a weekend table as voucher stated 7days no exclusions. Phones three weeks in a row and they said because of the voucher we couldn't book peak times. Really really rude telephone manner and as a result groupon or not we will NOT be dining there

went there for the first time last night, food wonderful, staff attentive without being pushy, will definitely be going again.

I have been twice now on week nights and both evenings were busy but it wasn't a problem to get a table. the staff are very friendly, sometimes the service i.e. ordering extra drinks or waiting for the bill was a little slow ,however the food arrived promptly and was EXCELLENT. The decor is simple, comfortable and clean, parking is right outside. Overall highly recommended.
