The Royal Oak – NantwichWe had a lovely meal at The Royal Oak. It was reasonably priced, staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was clean.
The Royal Oak – NantwichGreat pub, loved the internal decor, staff very friendly and attentive, fab service. However food was disappointing and service a little slow.
The Royal Oak – NantwichWe went for 7 .30 on a weekday evening we waited nearly 40 mins for starters we had prawn cocktail starters which looked lovely but the prawns were warm then a good half hour for the mains, the steaks were good but the mushrooms were cold they offered a hot drink for the inconvenience but we declined, the pub itself is lovely but they need to do something about waiting times
The Royal Oak – NantwichThe atmosphere was lovely with beautiful decor and a good buzz. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and arrived in good time. I cannot fault the staff as they were attentive and helpful. We will definitely return.
The Royal Oak – NantwichTook my mum for Sunday lunch, the service was maybe a little slow, but it was quite busy in there and we weren't in any rush. The new extension is beautiful and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals ( there was plenty to eat) and we will definitely return
The Royal Oak – NantwichSunday roast- best we’ve had in ages! Excellent
The Royal Oak – NantwichA lovely family meal in a beautiful venue. We enjoyed starters and mains, no room for dessert. All of it was very tasty. Will definitely be back
The Royal Oak – NantwichFriendly service and great food.
The Royal Oak – NantwichAmazing food, beautiful location and friendly staff
The Royal Oak – NantwichMy order was incorrect and it was noticed as it was brought to the table but this was rectified, it just took a while. Food was nice but the burgers are very chargrilled which isn't to everyone's taste (I ate mine, my daughter struggled). We raised the fact that a child's ice cream portion and the kids portion should not be the same price and we're offered this free but long term pricing needs addressing. Staff were inconsistent but happy to help overall. The renovations are beautiful and we may be back when it's a little quieter.
The Royal Oak – NantwichFirst visit to The Royal Oak at Worleston and I was very impressed with the interior . My friend and I ordered the scampi but asked for chips not fries . When they came they had fries on so the waitress took it back and replaced with chips. I have to say the scampi wasn't particularly good as it had been in the fryer too long. Certainly not golden breadcrumbs more very dark brown. I will however visit again as the waitress made a point of speaking to the chef about it .
The Royal Oak – NantwichThe Surrounding and Menu Choice were really good and value for money. Unfortunately the service could have been better, we had to ask 3 times for a jug of water, it finally arrived while we were eating dessert. The steak and Ale pie and chips tasted burnt Like wise the Nann bread was rock hard . Hot chocolate finally arrived Luke warm. .
The Royal Oak – NantwichSecond time visiting and had the sunday dinner, everything was fine at that point and then was pretty much blanked by the staff. Didnt ask if food was ok didnt ask if we wanted deserts or anymore drinks. Had to get up and ask for desert menu, after we were given desert menus we were waiting for a good 15 minutes more until we gave up. We got up paid the bill and left, doubt we will return anytime soon unfortunately.
The Royal Oak – NantwichThe pub it's self is really nice refurbished to a good standard however the dining area was very hot and no windows to open, the staff were pleasant but very young and inexperienced, we had a starter each which was quite nice, the main however was terrible we had calzone pizza the dough was too thick and chewy the inside had raw meatballs in it and the peperami was on top instead of inside and the tomato sause was cold I would have complained but no one asked how the meal was so we just paid and finished our drink outside although it was raining.
The Royal Oak – NantwichHad a lovely lunch, the food was great and service superb, thank you
The Royal Oak – NantwichStunning refurbishment of the Royal Oak. Surprised at the value of the food and the fish finger sandwich at lunchtime was delicious. Service was good and staff attentive. I’d say looking back at previous reviews there has definitely been an improvement. Will definitely be coming back
