Great experience! Easy to book online; attentive service throughout; good menu and great value; spotlessly clean; venue beautifully renovated and the outdoor log fire was a real treat. We had pizzas - stone baked in their pizza oven. We’ll definitely return. We went early in the evening so atmosphere wasn’t quite in full flow, but to be expected at that time of day and didn’t detract from the experience.

First visit and were really impressed. The interior and exterior look, detail and decor was excellent and very fitting for the Cheshire Countryside. Lovely oak beams, separate bar area and restaurant area. Very clean,.smelt nice. The staff were all really helpful, friendly and nothing was too much. The service was speedy and food was delicious and a good price! Tasty meal, great size portion and the staff checked throughout that we were happy with everything. Will definitely be returning!

We booked in for a Sunday Lunch on 25/09/22. The venue has been tastefully restored and extended. The meal was served very promptly by courteous members of staff. We both ordered roast beef. The selection of vegetables served was very good, together with excellent Yorkshire Puddings. I'm afraid the centre piece of the meal i.e. roast beef (sirloin I think) did let the meal down as is was cut extremely thinly and lacked flavour. We will be going back to The Royal Oak, but not for Sunday Lunch

Wonderful food

2nd time visiting the Oak for Sunday lunch and it didn't disappoint... The service although a bit slow today (but they were very busy) the food is worth waiting for... Its absolutely stunning.. Presented well cooked to perfection and always excellent value for money.. Situated in beautiful surroundings comfy dining chairs and a relaxed atmosphere..... Special mention to daisy ethan & Stacey for looking after us... Highly recommended and definitely will return ❤️

We went to the Royal Oak on Sunday 18th September for an anniversary meal. The food was absolutely beautiful! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was just lovely. The cheesecake is the best cheesecake I’ve ever tasted and cheesecake is my favourite food ever!

A lovely evening, a good value meal, to enjoy in a fabulous setting.

Went for a meal Saturday evening place lovely chair seat was stained already needed cleaning starter was lovey had the sirloin steak with mushroom sauce cost 19 pounds steak was tough could not eat it tried but spoke to waitress and told her she came back and manager offered a desert free so l paid 13 pounds for chips l mushroom 1/2 a tomato some salad and mushroom sauce so very disappointed need to step up on this could be very nice place to dine will go back and try again

Booked a table for 4 for Sunday night at 6pm. We arrived and we’re seated and presented with the menus. We all chose the Sunday beef roast. When they arrived the meals looked pretty small and took approx 5 mins later for the veg to arrive. We started to eat and two out of the main meals the two roast potatoes (that’s all we got and they were tiny) were rock hard and we couldn’t eat them along with the Yorkshire puddings. The meat was ok and the veg was nice albeit small portions also and were not big eaters. We then asked for another round of drinks and 10 mins later they hadn’t arrived so we had to ask again. When the waitress came to take our plates away she asked if everything was ok, we explained about our meals and she said she would mention it to the chef, she then returned to say that the two meals that we mentioned wouldn’t be charged for. We thought this was very decent of them however we were still hungry so had to order a dessert instead and that was delicious. The Royal Oak is really nice inside and outside but was just a pity the food wasn’t Upto scratch and probably sadly we wouldn’t return.

A lovely setting, done a fantastic job at renovating the place, the outdoor area is lovely also, and would be great in the summer, service fantastic. Food very disappointing, very basic, very limited menu. A few mishaps with the food and not up to standard unfortunately. I do hope this can be improved for the future as an amazing place with great potential.

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant luncheon here on a Friday. The atmosphere was very relaxed yet the staff were very efficient and pleasant. Food was great and the conservatory dining area very nice. All in all an enjoyable day. We will be returning frequently. I have no hesitations about recommending it.
