Great food, service a little slow, but they were really busy, which is always a good sign. Looking forward to returning soon.

This is my fourth visit to Boccquerones in 5 months as I keep taking people there for a treat as I just know they will love it. This visit for lunch was a birthday gift for my friend. She is vegetarian and occasionally eats fish so I knew she’d like it as Boquerones has such a great range of vegetarian tapas. Really friendly and helpful service, our server helped steer us to the aubergine (really enjoyable) so we didn’t end up with too much bread. All the food was gorgeous but particular mentions must go to the baked feta and the mushrooms in the blue cheese, parsley, cream and white wine sauce. Needless to say my friend loved it. Another plus point of this local gem is they do an excellent range of wine by the glass which comes in handy when one of you drinks red and the other white. I had a lovely Albariño the quality of which you don’t often see by the glass. Came to £90 for 6 tapas 4 glasses of wine and a tip well worth it, but you could easily spend less and still have great food. If you like to local, and support independent businesses then I throughly recommend Boquerones

This was my 3rd visit to the restaurant in about 12 months. It's a lovely little place, great food and staff very attentive. Always good value for money too. Would definitely recommend

Been going to this restaurant since it opened many years ago. Not been there for quite a while because of house move but visited on 21st march and found it still best Chinese restaurant in Newcastle with interior, food and staff still excellent. We had lovely meal well served and the reception from Yen was amazing as always. Well done.

Had a lovely time arrived on my own early was made to feel very welcome with coffee and prawn crackers whilst I waited for my friends. I'm coeliac so dont eat chinese that often and get put off by menus and staff who don't really understand. However the menu was clear with lots of choices and the staff were very helpful. The service was friendly and efficient and the food a real treat I will definitely be back and take my daughter and husband next time.

We had a lovely lunch here the other day, the meals are great value for money and the kind staff who were in even showed us the lunch specials which made our chosen mains cheaper and included a starter! Brilliant service, tasty food and excellent value, thank you!

Love this place, so much so, that I've practically been living here since January. The food is spectacular, the wine is wonderful and the service unbeatable. The price is reasonable too.

Been here a few times and never had a bad meal. Food is excellent and good value, sometimes it can be slow service when it’s busy but always worth waiting for. It’s an unusual layout and it can get very busy but we’ve never had a problem. The wraps and gyros are always top notch.

Lunch time menu is excellent value with a starter and main course for just £12.95. Food was so delicious and we will definitely be back.

We visit Newcastle regularly and looking for a place to eat when I saw a tapas restaurant with good reviews then I decided we’d give it a go. Now you have to expect tapas to be a little different to traditional starter/main/dessert -Dishes come randomly. We really enjoyed our meal. Individual ingredients and tastes. Definitely be on our list to revisit. No cause for complaint- staff friendly and helpful. Bread with olives might have been even better had it been warmed a little but just a personal preference.

Visited prior to going to the match, busy, vibrant restaurant with good vibes. Really friendly staff despite being busy. We were seated quickly and given complimentary prawn crackers and chilli dip The menu was a match day special that had plenty of choice. Food delicious and plentiful and piping hot. Would definitely recommend.

Booked on line at very short notice based on very good trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. All the dishes were tasty and freshly prepared. The dishes were brought out two at a time as per our request. We tried some of the blackboard specials and main menu sharing 7 different dishes and all were authentic to Spain and the Mediterranean. We were very happy and despite being a long way from where we live we would be happy to return. A bit quiet when we arrived at 4pm but was busier with a lot more atmosphere when we left. Friendly service. All good. What’s not to like !
