I had an amazing time at Matthews Kitchen! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was absolutely fresh and cooked to perfection. Every detail, from the presentation to the flavors, was spot on. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on all fronts, but Matthews Kitchen does just that. A truly fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-quality seafood and a great dining atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful evening - excellent food (the monkfish was fantastic), really lovely staff and they even sang happy birthday for my wife with the desserts! One of our favourites. Definitely recommend

We haven't been here for a while and we weren't disappointed. The portions were a reasonable size, service was well-judged and engaging. The food was tasty and the wines were competitively priced. All in all, a nice way to spend a Saturday evening.

I had yet another fabulous meal here. Matthew's Kitchen is one of my absolute favourites and my first choice if I want a guaranteed good dining experience. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, the quality and selection of food are always on point. I have repeatedly recommended this restaurant to friends and family and am always thanked afterwards!

Had a fantastic evening at Matthew’s Kitchen on Tuesday! I enjoyed the unlimited mussels with three different sauces—each one delicious, and the mussels were fresh and meaty. Such a great offer! My wife had the set menu, and both courses were fantastic. Highly recommend Matthews Kitchen for amazing seafood and a great dining experience!

We visited Matthews Kitchen on Saturday evening and had an amazing experience! The restaurant was packed, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The service here is truly fantastic, allowing you to fully enjoy every part of the dining experience—from the expertly crafted drinks to the delicious starters, fresh and flavorful main courses, and finally, a perfect coffee to end the meal. The fish display is a great touch, showcasing the incredible freshness of the seafood. The cocktails were also excellent! We visited Matthews Kitchen on Friday evening, and the restaurant was busy with a great atmosphere. This was my third visit this month, and once again, I thoroughly enjoyed everything! Had been meaning to try this restaurant for a long time. Was not disappointed. Food was excellent. Will definitely be going again. It was a Saturday night and it was VERY busy - service was a little slow but not a problem. Staff were absolutely lovely. Lovely decor and great ambiance. Highly recommend it!

Just love Matthews - great food, friendly staff, a good ambience and the decor is great. The menu has both fish and veggie options which for us, was great. We cannot recommend Matthews enough - TRY IT!!!

We hadn't been to Matthew's Kitchen for a while but were very happy last Saturday evening with the food & wine. The service has really got a lot better since the last time we went, the waiters were very attentive whilst serviing us. The mixed sea food & Tuna salad were of a high standard, so was the sticky toffey pudding with ice-cream. We shared a nice bottle of white French wine at £29.00 was of good value. We'll be returning to the restaurant very soon. Kevin & Teresa

Special starter prawn & scallop ravioli, and special main grill of prawns, scallop, miso salmon and lots of mussels in tomato, both exceptional.
