Everyone had a lovely meal , as always we all said we enjoyed everything about our food choices

Our first visit to the Hopping Hare despite living only 7 miles away for over 20 years. We had a really nice meal. Lovely homemade breads with oil and marmite butter to start. For mains, two of us had duck, one a burger and the other the salt baked celeriac. All delicious. Then we shared desserts - a very lovely lemon tart and a sticky toffee pudding (nice but not particularly special). Service was friendly and slightly quirky, good overall. Well done HH team, we will be back.

Everything about the dining experience can’t be faulted, in my opinion. Quality ingredients, locally, sourced. Prepared and presented to a very high standard. The menu has been carefully thought out. It gives you some slightly different choices along with the traditional meals to suit just about everyone. Portion size is just right. The dining environment is comfortable and relaxed, very clean and tastefully decorated. Staff are friendly and professional. A reliably good option for any occasion.

Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch on 13th April. Food was of a very high standard, as was the service from the staff. Definitely a great find. I would definitely recommend.

Went for lunch and the food is outstanding. Thought the staff were going to be a little frosty at first but they too turned out to be really accommodating. The atmosphere is good and the place is clean. Slightly cold inside so may be worthwhile turning the heating up a little. Overall a vey pleasant experience and would definitely go back.

A most enjoyable evening. The food was of good quality and really nicely presented. Also, I appreciated the fact nothing was overpowered with garlic. The mix of flavours was excellent. The service was also very good.

Lovely 85th birthday lunch for my mum with all the family, service , food and ambiance all top notch, would definitely recommend!

From making the original booking to making some last minute changes the staff were brilliant. Food was served on time and tasty. One small criticism was the cheesy garlic bread on the kids menu. A sliced Warburtons roll with melted sliced cheese unfortunately was not worth the £11 charged. Other than that a great night was had with good food.

It's always good here but the salmon starter was off the scale , so good !!! Service was great as always wine and beer are first class

Excellent food as usual and first class service by happy smiling staff. I’ve been to the Hopping Hare several times and will continue going there because it offers all round delicious food relaxed atmosphere and a first class outing for a first class meal.

Went for lunch on a Friday . Was fairly quiet but good and service excellent
