I booked a Sunday lunch for the choir I belong to and 22 of us attended. I met up with the manager beforehand and also before the meal. The attention to detail was amazing and I got the feeling nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb and not one niggle about anything from any of the choir members - in fact quite the reverse - they were all praising the Hopping Hare staff and chef. Thank you David and The Hopping Hare for making our annual lunch so enjoyable. Would recommend The Hopping Hare to anyone.

An excellent lunch with very good service.

Treated the family to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. Excellent meal and service enjoyed by everyone. Can't fault it.

Came in for a birthday celebration. Food was fabulous. Service was super quick. Great service BUT we thought we were there for the evening. Service was swift .. to the point that we had rushed through three courses. Starter and main were over and done in 30 mins or so, and we had to ask for time before ordering dessert.

Saturday evening is specials evening - Superb Sea bream fillets, cooked excellently, accompanied by a delicious selection of vegetables Followed with Choux bun filled with chocolate, accompanied by ice cream . A very enjoyable evening!! Thank you David and your fantastic staff

Excellent food and a beautiful setting the staff are always so friendly and accommodating. The only thing i would say is maybe a bit more of a selection on the Vegan menu. Although tasted very good was limited. Would definitely recommend.

I met a friend for a mid-week, evening catch-up at the Hopping Hare and had a fabulous experience. The menu was a little pricey perhaps, but well worth it. The food was excellent, as were the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending the Hopping Hare.

Superb food. Large portions and a great range for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Good options for Gluten Free as well. Will definitely be going back.

Atmosphere was very nice, food was excellent and the best we have had for years. Our waitress had a lovely, friendly and professional manner. Every thing was as perfect as perfect can be. We will definitely be visiting again and making good referrals to our neighbours, family and friends.

Generally agree with other reviews about friendly yet professional service and quality of food-,especially the desserts! . However, as vegetarians we were disappointed to be told there were no veggie options/ alternatives on the Taster menu. In addition, the veggie starters and mains on the A la carte menu mostly seemed to feature goat’s cheese heavily , for some reason. A bit more variety to choose from would have been welcome. Maybe in future look at your menu offerings from the standpoint of diners looking to eat more plant- based options?

We had a nice anniversary evening and meal at the Hopping Hare last night. The food and service were very good and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

First class. Excellent food always praised by us and friends and family we have dined with. Superb for its quality and presentation. Friendly, but efficient staff. Always a really enjoyable experience. Thank you all staff.

We had roast chicken and roast beef and it was excellent

Great place serving great food very pleased with the whole experience. We had just the right amount of attention without any pressure staff were helpful and considerate and we were impressed withthe food itself - it was really really good. Definitely will return.

I am always so impressed by the quality and presentation of the food at The HoppingHare. Eating out these days is not cheap anywhere these days but at least here you can see the effort and skill that has gone into the preparation. The service is also excellent. Drinks a bit expensive though.
