We visited yesterday for a roast dinner, the starter (pulled pork scotch egg and bread board) was amazing. The roast dinner looked amazing however my meat-pork belly, was un-edible , it was a 'rouleard' of 80% fat and the 20% of meat was so tough i had to leave it: I understand pork belly is a fatty cut of meat however this completely spoilt the meal. Up on showing the waitress when asked how our food was she said wow that is literally all fat- I will tell the chef. I was very surprised that it was left at full price when we came to pay. We paid and left however It has put me off returning im afraid!

We go to the Hopping Hare because the restaurant is clean and the staff there are excellent, will do anything to help you. The food is of amazing quality, from starters to dessert. We honestly can't fault anything about the place. We love it. Thank you.

The service was excellent - very friendly, polite and helpful - and the food was really good! Lovely atmosphere - we will definitely return.

Amazing as always, we both had a sirloin steak that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The dessert was delicious too, pistachio and white chocolate eclair, service was friendly and warm

Fab meal as always at Hopping Hare. We had sirloin steak and rump of lamb followed by lemon tart and strawberry meringue. Highly recommend

We had mains and desserts. Ordered the burger and the gluten free cottage pie. Then had the gluten free chocolate brownie and the pistachio éclair. The quality of all of the dishes were absolutely amazing. All cooked perfectly and the presentation was outstanding. Definitely worth the money. Would eat there again.

We had the tasting menu on Friday & what a delightful surprise. The menu read well & the food that was presented did not disappoint. The portions were larger than we thought. Our friend had the a la carte which they managed to match their courses with ours. The drinks prices were a little pricey but all told an excellent night.

I met with friends on Friday 28th June for 5 people , we all had a beautiful meal and great service would definitely recommend!

Excellent, beautiful place

The Hopping Hare was packed and buzzing on Saturday. The service was faultless and the staff appeared to be enjoying themselves which made our evening special. We were not addressed as "You Guys: which is often used in other establishments. Food was as always excellent and well presented. We shall be back yet again.Thanks to all the team front of house and kitchen. Best place to eat round the west side of Northampton currently.

Went for a family meal for Fathers Day. Prompt service. Food very good. Staff very polite and friendly. Feel drinks were a little pricey!

Absolutely delicious as usual! We has Sunday Roast on father's day and it was so yummy, melt in your mouth beef, cauliflower cheese, braised red cabbage, spring greens, carrots, roast potatoes and of course a rather large Yorkshire pudding. This is our favourite place, where we had our wedding reception in 2022 - and as usual the food and service was 10/10!
