Very pleasant evening meal with family. Enjoyed the pork loin meal, the pork belly terrine part of the meal, was amazing. Well presented food. Attentive staff all very good.

As always this restaurant made us feel welcome. The service was exemplary and the ambiance perfect for lunchtime eating. However, on this occasion I ordered a main meal risotto which was horrendously salty, to a point that I couldn’t swallow it. However, the replacement meal was lovely. We ordered two espressos , but these arrived dull and flat, very disappointing. All other food and drink we had was very enjoyable.

Lunch time business meeting was met by Supervisor, asked for a quiet table for two; proposed a number of tables finally suggesting a table of four which she felt would the most suitable. She was right it worked well. My colleague and I both had the Venison, it was perfect. Have had it once before and I was not disappointed. Highly recommended for both business and please; You could not fault the service and the food was excellent. Looking forward to going again. A well done to the Team.

Visited for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. The food was amazing and had a great selection of sandwiches, desserts, homemade scones and tea. We were absolutely stuffed by the end so had to take some scones and desserts home with us! The staff were great and always checked if everything was ok and offered us regular tea refills. Will definitely be back for an afternoon tea!

A group of 8 of us dined here and stayed the night on Saturday 14 April. I don't often use the word "outstanding" but the food here really was just that. I had no idea the Hopping Hare had 2 rosettes when I booked but I fully understand why it has. It was just fabulous. The service, headed up by Sarah, was excellent as well, nothing was too much trouble and it was super-friendly and efficient. If I didn't live on the East coast of the UK it would be somewhere I'd visit frequently. Very well done, a really great establishment. Rooms were extremely good value for money too - wasn't expecting much to be honest of the B&B because it was so reasonable but again, fabulous.

Booked for a table of 6, for my eldest sons birthday and had a lovely dining experience. Food was top quality and the service was exemplary. We will certainly be back as we were made to feel very welcome indeed.

Excellent evening celebrating my husbands birthday. Rosie and all the staff were very polite and helpful. The white rioja was super. food was great . We will be back!

Pleasant, professional and friendly staff. Clean, tidy with a good ambiance to all dining areas. Care taken to freshly cooked food and presentation. All of which attains value for money.

Booked last minute for Sunday late lunch. Food was excellent, beef and lamb really tender. Vegetables fresh, chunky chip substitute for roasties were fantastic and at no extra charge. We were pleased we didn’t order a starter as the main course portion was more than enough. Service was efficient and friendly. The bar and restaurant were very busy which made it even more impressive. We will definitely return.
