The Hopping Hare is generally very good with food and service but when we went for breakfast the food was very good but arrived nearly cold - there seemed to have been a glitch between the kitchen and the front of house. We were not welcomed but initially made to feel as though we shouldn't be there as the bookings hadn't been checked. That could have been handled a lot better. She did her best to make up for it during the service. Real shame about the tepid food as it had obviously been freshly cooked and care had been taken.

Normally love this place as food is wonderful. Sadly this time around the food was cold, not sure if it had been left standing but had to send chicken back and ask for another serving. Which did arrive poping hot but I had finished my meal by the time this came out Had to order another side of chips as 1st portion had gone cold by the time the warm food arrived. Then got charged for both portions which was not impressed with! Thought as a gesture of good will these would be removed

Delicious meal, beautiful presented. Flavours sung out. Couldn't fault it. Service good. Attentive, but not overly so. Ambience ok but didn't really match up to quality of food. Could be cosier, a bit clinical. Not much personality. But would definitely return for quality of food.

I want to say how much I enjoyed my visit on Monday last. My wife and I was celebrating wedding anniversary with some friends. We could not have made more welcome, the meal was most enjoyable and the service was impeccable. No problems in recommending the venue to any others for a regular meal or a special occasion

Went to the Hopping Hare for Sunday lunch - party of 3 (son and grandson) and would honestly say one of the very best meals we have had. Service was good, not too pushy, and the waitress's were all very helpful. My son and myself had the beef and the grandson the children's fish and chips. Overall a very pleasant meal excellent food and the beer selection was good. Will definately be back.

Great and varied menu, perfectly cooked and presented as always. All the staff are really helpful, professional and hard working. Even when the restaurant is busy, drinks and food arrive quickly.

Fantastic staff and service. The food was excellent as usual with a special touch to acknowledge a birthday. We love the Hopping Hare it never disappoints

Always wanted to come try this place and decided to group book for a special occasion. Monday evening and it wasn't busy but the atmosphere was still lovely and staff very welcoming. I tried looking for a menu online prior to booking but it seems the menu changes regularly/seasonally so it wasn't until we were here did I get to see what was on offer. The food menu was not expansive but what was on offer was definitely carefully thought-out and creative. This isn't your standard pub fare but is a pleasing gastronomic eatery, we got to try dishes we wouldn't normally have - it's not often I get wowed by how cabbage is cooked and tastes! The dessert was simplistic but presented well and tasted excellent. We all positively commented on the food and will likely come back again. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy and appreciate good food!

Personable friendly staff, prompt service and delicious food! Highly recommend. We love the venue so must we had our wedding meal here after we were married!

Imaginative and delicious food of a really high standard at a reasonable price. Warm and attentive service too. Highly recommend.
