Absolutely fantastic food and service , with a great atmosphere

It was a special occasion for the dinner, my birthday. It certainly didn’t disappoint for this. My friends and I had a variety of choices, from the tender venison, chicken, hake and cottage pie. All very tasty and served with a selection of vegetables. I would certainly recommend this venue. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Came for a family meal to celebrate my father’s 80th Birthday. Delicious food, beautifully presented and great service with attentive staff. A pleasure as always to eat at this lovely place. Highly recommend.

My friend and I came for afternoon tea. We had the gluten free option and the food was delicious and plentiful - especially the lemon brûlée and lemon posset! Good choice of teas too. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon - would highly recommend.

Superb Sunday roast best I’ve had in a pub ever! Food came out looking exactly like the photos on the website and social media. Great beer too. Lovely friendly staff and service. Will definitely be going back.

We booked a table of 16 for our daughter's 21st Birthday meal, and as usual, we were not disappointed. Quality of food service and surroundings is second to none in our opinion. This is an exceptional independent gem, providing fine dining using local produce at a reasonable price. Surprising that it is often overlooked as people assume that it is part of a chain. We would highly recommend the Hopping Hare for any occasion!

We chose the Hopping Hare for 18 of us to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The Sunday roasts were amazing ( I recommend the beef!). The staff were very helpful and made everything run smoothly. The most important thing was that my wife thoroughly enjoyed it and had a great birthday! Highly recommend the Hopping Hare, both for the food and the high levels of service.

Really lovely find when looking for a new place to eat. Menu offered options for all the family who wanted a roast and burger options. Every meal was excellent and the service couldn’t be better, attentive and very helpful - all with a lovely smile. We will definitely be back and have found a new favourite place!

Enjoyed a fabulous meal with friends last Saturday. The place was very busy but the staff gave an exceptional level of service throughout. The food was of the highest quality and the whole place has a great vibe. We will definitely be returning.

Me and my partner were lucky enough to win a food voucher at this gorgeous little village pub, and the food was absolutely lovely along with the service, the staff was very attentive and kept our drinks full up. Will deffo be back!

Booked a table online (very easy to do) as we were meeting friends who we hadn’t seen for a while, food was superb and staff very friendly will definitely return.

We chose the Hopping Hare to meet some friends before heading to Saints for a game. We'd never been before but had high hopes - all of which were met. The service was quick when you needed it, patient when you didn't & the food was superb.

We took my daughter here after her graduation. My wife wanted somewhere smart as she was dressed up and the restaurant didn't disappoint. Food was nicely cooked and presented and was way above that you would expect from a hotel/pub. Friendly and quick service. Only negative was that wine was a bit expensive.

Fabulous Sunday lunch, all the trimmings, tender meat, huge yorkies, cauliflower cheese and other veg, superb…and service was friendly and prompt. Only downfall was we couldn’t eat it all! 11/10
