The Apple Inn – BamburghStayed for two nights and service was excellent. Food in both the restaurant and the School House was first class. Would stay again if in the area and would certainly recommend.
The Apple Inn – BamburghWe are HPB bond holders and have been for many years and used your restaurant on many occasions. We brought with us this time 2 friends which are interested in joining HPB and was very disappointed with the entire visit to your establishment. Went to the White Swan the following evening, food , service and ambiance was excellent , suggest your staff visit them they and you will see what I mean. Could I also point out that we had Timothy Tailors beer or what should have been, it was awful
The Apple Inn – BamburghGood ambience and nice food. Service was good and friendly and they coped with our garlic/onion allergy with no problems. Will go again when next in the area.
The Apple Inn – BamburghGorgeous, cosy country pub in a beautiful rural setting. Good wine, cocktails and real ale so something for everyone. Excellent food on offer and Sunday lunches are delicious. Well worth a designated driver rota or taxi ride to visit for a perfect day/evening out❤️
The Queens Head – MatfenBoth good and service was excellent! Would go back again.
The Apple Inn – BamburghFirst port of call for a healthy breakfast! Always a warm welcome and perfectly served food.
The School House – BamburghSadly our traditional end of holiday meal at the Apple Inn was ruined by the barking of dogs just a few feet away from us. If I had known that dogs were allowed into the eating area and not just in the bar, I would not have booked. Until the dogs started , we were enjoying our Sunday roast; the lamb and veg were excellent although the Yorkshire puddings were so hard they had to be soaked in the gravy.
The Apple Inn – BamburghBrunch at the school house was lovely. Interesting building, good food, welcoming staff, and very dog friendly.
The School House – BamburghAmazing food and service!
The Apple Inn – BamburghLovely food and great staff.
The Apple Inn – BamburghFantastic food and building. We had a lovely breakfast and we were very happy!
The School House – BamburghEasy to book on-line. Great customer service, dog friendly and the food was excellent.
The Apple Inn – BamburghAmazing smoked duck salad. Great steak and pepper sauce. Apple pie was good but by far not enough custard. Just 2 tablespoons isn’t going to satisfy! Overall excellent quality food though. The staff were really helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be that service was extremely slow. The whole meal took over one and a half hours so was quite tedious waiting a long time between courses.
The Apple Inn – BamburghFantastic food - perfect end of the week meal with friends.
The Queens Head – MatfenGreat food Great service Love the atmosphere here staff attentive but not over bearing Steaks were cooked as ordered Really nice night
The Queens Head – MatfenI can’t recommend this place highly enough. We have visited on several occasions and never been disappointed, the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly also very professional. We both had dishes from the specials menu and would definitely order it again. A lot of places state they are dog friendly but the Apple inn definitely is, our little dog loves the attention he gets from the staff.
