We visit the Apple Inn regular. Great food, beer and wine. The staff are lovely. I've sampled various items on the menu but keep coming back to the cheese soufflé and the fish and chips. On our last visit we tried sharing a soufflé but still didn't have room for a dessert.

Stayed for 3 nights at the Apple Inn. Usually we vary where we eat when we stay away, but the food and service was so good at the Apple Inn that we ate all three evenings. The food was always beautifully prepared and presented, always tasty and generous servings ! If we lived anywhere near the Apple Inn we would eat there on a regular basis. Highly recommended.

What a lovely find this wonderful place

We booked a table for Monday 9th of May before we went it was easy to book and we were sent a confirmation email quite quickly .The Apple inn did'nt disappoint us .It was welcoming and clean very nice inside. The staff were lovely and they did their meal checks while we were eating to see if everything was okay.The food came quickly once we had made our mind up and orderd it and it was very tasty too .We throughly enjoyed our night out at the Apple inn and would definately recommend to anyone .If you are staying in Stablewood lodges like we were take your key fob to get a discount off of your meal .

Booked the table before we arrived for our stay in Lucker. Welcomed and taken to table and served really quickly. Roast dinner was large with more veg than expected. Good experience and we booked again for later in the week.

Starters were good - white onion and cider soup and a pate . Veg a little too aldente for me . Also roast potato so large it wasn’t cooked properly. Yorkshire pudding and beef cooked lovely though . Staff friendly and attentive

Very fast, friendly service. Menu is short enough to not overwhelm but gives plenty of choice - tasty & well cooked

Johnny was fantastic at setting up our booking for a special celebratory meal. Nothing was a problem and from arrival to departure we were treated brilliantly.

Heard about this restaurant from a young couple we met whilst having a drink in a local pub. Wow what a find. We enjoyed a fantastic meal!! The cheese soufflé was light and tasty followed by the steak and stilton pie - light pastry with a rich tender filling. Then simply because the desserts served to the adjacent table looked so good we had the delicious sticky toffee pudding. A truly memorable meal which we will definitely repeat when we next return to Northumberland

A nice bar and atmosphere but not a good choice for vegans to visit: there was only one vegan main dish and no vegan starters even though the w/site said, ‘vegan options’, which is why we visited. We also pre-warned them we were vegan on the booking form. Vegetarian options couldn’t be adapted. The dish itself (sweet potato rogan josh) was ‘okay’ served with white rice and naan bread, but pretty bland and dry - a mango chutney/minty salad would have helped. Tomato chutney and onion chutney were provided on request. Compared with the interesting range of dishes being offered to meat eaters, our vegan dish felt like an add-on. Another vegan couple who were dining there opted just for chips. With so many great vegan brands out there, the place could buy in a decent Beyond Meat or Gro Incredible burgers and keep them frozen until needed, if necessary … vegans always appreciate it when gastro-pubs actually cater for us, too. We were actually staying at the inn, too and were delighted to discover that ‘The School House’ across the road cooked up a great Vegan Breakfast the next morning.

Beautiful breakfast, perfectly cooked with exceptional service in a clean and extremely comfortable environment. Dog friendly too....what more could you ask for?

Great lunch today with friends. Two steak and Guinness pies and two fish and chips. Lovely food and great service. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

We have visited The Apple quite often when we come up to Bamburgh.. The interior is well presented, clean and comfortable . Nice and quiet, and unhurried. Tables are far enough apart and some separated by screening for social distancing so feel safe. The food is always good and the staff attentive.. Always made to feel welcome. Particularly of note is that they are happy to adapt meals eg I had cheese soufflé off the starter menu upgraded as a main. They are also accommodating of dogs if you need that.

We dined with you on Wednesday and Friday this week. We thoroughly enjoyed both meals and especially the wonderfully helpful Jen who gave us great advice on choices of both food and wine.

Lovely meal, early dinner with a quiet resteraunt, food was excellant, no fuss just good food, nice chat with owner ? and staff member on leaving, a venue trying and succeeding to produce an enjoyable customer experience, keep doing what you doing. Only marked down atmosphere as we were the only customers, not any fault of the resteraunt! Would definately return

We had a wonderful meal. Our only complaint is that we were unable to eat our huge portions however we are there again tonight and will careful not to order too much. It was great thank you.
