Stopped off for Sunday lunch. Food was lovely and lots of vegetables cooked perfectly. We weren't hungry after our main meal but had to try the signature apple dessert that we noticed passing by, and it was amazing. Would highly recommend this place.

Excellent meal as always. Great place, friendly staff and always a great welcome. Food is great, fresh and well cooked. The service is excellent, friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the best place to eat around Bamburgh.

Food was very disappointing, we didn't complain as admittedly the menu was misread by two of us as assumed as standard would get roast lamb with a Sunday roast, but when it arrived realised it was braised (a bit like pulled pork?) which wasn't very pleasant. Assume this is due to costs. Likewise menu said "roasties", which as a plural we expected to receive more than the one that we got. Pork roast was pretty good, pie was also okay but very small portions of mash & veg. When our wine was brought over it wasn't opened for the table as you'd expect which we thought odd. Uninspiring selection of draught ales, which is a shame for an area with such good breweries. Bill was incorrect and we had to ask for it again, the waiter that helped sort this out was really nice & helpful but not enough to make us want to visit again.

Really good Sunday dinner. Great food, good, friendly service and one of the best sticky toffee puds I've had in a long time. Very good. Recommended.

Lovely place to eat and very friendly service. Our steaks were very tough but this was dealt with in a helpful & professional manner. The steaks were just “poor steaks” but this was no fault of the chef and just unfortunate. All our other dishes were really good. Delicious haddock, lamb shank and fish pie and their thick cut chips were amazing. Would recommend the Apple Inn.

Great Sunday lunch to celebrate my dad’s 87 birthday! Plenty of space for all of us. Great relaxing atmosphere and friendly efficient service. Lovely food and reasonably priced. This is not our first visit and won’t be our last. Highly recommend!

Evening meal for four 19th February 2022. This was not our first visit to The Apple Inn. We have been a number of times in the past and as usual the food and service were excellent. Prices have increased of late and given the difficulties of the last couple of years that is understandable. However, what I cannot understand and get frustrated by, is the lack of a complete meal. Three of our party got the lamb bourguignon and whilst it was very nice, it consisted of meat and potatoes only. Vegetables could have been ordered at an extra £3.50, but I am sorry that is not a complete or for that matter a particularly healthy meal. I do not think it would be too hard to add a few vegetables to the meal and not have to order them as extras. One of our group ordered fish and chips and received fish, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce - a complete meal. If vegetables are on the extras menu, they should be just that - EXTRAS

Absolutely loved this pub. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent and they catered for both a child with celiac disease (gluten free) and myself with a dairy allergy. Would definitely recommend.

We recently visited the Apple Inn on Valentine's evening, we didn't partake in the Valentine menu as it was too much food for my appetite but looked nice, so we chose to have the battered fish and chips which as my wife eats gluten free food this was offered gluten free so happy day's. The meal came and i can say it was one of the biggest battered pieces of fish i have ever had, beautifully crisp lovely hand cut chips mushy peas and tartare sauce, a lovely meal. My only criticism are the mushy peas just a personal choice but minted mushy peas slightly of putting and a side of bread and butter was toast rustic bread, normal sliced white bread would go better. Over all though a lovely meal and great beer would definitely recommend the Apple Inn to visit.
