Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really great menu with plenty of choice (even for veggies/vegans). Delicious food and fantastic service from the lovely staff. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog along too. Thank you Apple Inn, we will definitely be back on our next visit to Northumberland!

Excellent dinner at the Apple Inn. My partner had the fish and chips which he couldn’t eat and took half home due to the size of the fish. I had the venison loin which was beautifully cooked, if you have a large appetite I would recommend a side order of vegetables but I had sufficient. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly- would recommend and definitely will be going again

Lovely to have such a welcoming pub close to our cottage.

A fine meal as always at this Inn, with one caveat, but service sadly not close to being up to scratch. Quite why it took 40 mins for our main course to arrive was simply ignored & having asked us if dessert was wanted, the menus failed to appear until another person asked us again. Also, in the times we live in, quite why the staff aren’t wearing masks is simply beyond reason. The caveat was that the starter & desserts were superb, but the main course though of a fine quality & of above ample quantity was pretty bland & not all that tasty. So a qualified recommendation then, with a bit of work to do to equal our last visit. Atmosphere sadly spoiled by selfish Dog owners.

Hat a lovely welcome. The staff amazing. Felt very safe and part of the experience. The meal was amazing. Cheese Soufflé was fabulous and the Curried Parsnip and Pear Soup was tantalising your tastebuds. The steak and steak pie was a Maze zing..would defo recommend.. x

The afternoon tea was excellent. Sandwiches and cakes first class. Maybe some more tea though? Thanks.

Disappointing food and general experience despite pub looking good inside. Started of prawns & soup good, mains: cauliflower cheese arrived 5 mins before mains, my xmas dinner came cold. Only removed my plate leaving my partners resulting in eating at different times. Then as we finished our drinks, clear that the 2 staff wanted to go home, looking over constantly & gingling keys, turning music off…..it was 9pm. I do t think we’ll be back Was good place pre Covid

We stayed in Lucker for a week in November and used the Apple Inn most days while we were there. The first thing I would like to say is the friendliness of the staff that work there. They were so helpful and attentive and we felt very welcome. Also dog friendly with nice areas to sit for a drink with the pooch. We ate there on one occasion. And the food was very good quality well presented and the service was excellent. Looking forward to returning soon.

Lovely dog friendly pub. Food good, hot and plentiful. One of the waitresses (the one with a son who worked there for 4 years)was brilliant, very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The pub looked lovely and festive but could have done with some music.

Lovely dog friendly pub, good menu tasty food. Friendly and very helpful staff. All working very hard even though storm Arwen was raging outside. Our friends dog became ill while we were there and the staff had no qualms about packing their food up to take away. Thank you Apple Inn

On arrival our initial impression was good, warm cosy looking establishment, with a friendly welcome from the gent behind the bar. We were shown to our table which was in a lovely rear room very comfortable, but there the good stops. When the waitress came to take our order her attitude was poor, as though we were a nuisance to her and she’d rather be elsewhere. When asked what drinks where available, the response was “everything is on the menu” strange that when we asked about the flavour of a soft drink we were quoted a flavour not mentioned on the menu, so much for everything’s on the menu. We then proceeded to order 6 adults meals, 1 being a vegetarian meal, plus 2 kids meals. When the meals came they looked great we’ll presented but the vegetarian option was missing, we queried the missing meal to be told that it’s was on the side and would be right out. 13 minutes later the missing meal turned up obviously it wasn’t on the side and had just be done. Another negative point was my meal was cold, when mentioned to our happy waitress it was meet with “oh sorry” that’s it. Such a shame as the place looks great and the food was well presented, but let done by poor waiting staff.

Excellent food, better than expected for a pub meal, although quite slow to arrive on our second visit. Only on our second visit was it mentioned that as we were in the HPB Lucker Hall in the village we could have a discount, so we missed out on our first meal

Great pub with lovely staff and super food. We received a warm welcome and were seated in a lovely booth which was perfect for our party of five and our two dogs. It’s been a while since we last visited but we’ll be back soon.

Fab place, great ambience, a warm welcome, lovely food, children very welcome and dog friendly. We had breakfast there on the last day of our holiday, it was great and we will be back.
