Sadly when we arrived for Sunday lunch you had no lamb or beef - which limited options severely Instead or a “trio” was ordered as you’d added chicken to the menu- so a Duo. Sadly a mono turned up just pork! A trio was charged. Eaton mess ordered - no meringue in the receipe !!! Having precooked I would have hoped you’d be aware of what is needed So all in all not likely to recommend

Stopped at Apple Inn 3 - 6 September 2021. Ate there both Saturday and Sunday. Excellent food, good service and good atmosphere. Will definitely be back

Would thoroughly recommend to anyone staying within the Alnwick area. The restaurant is very clean, staff are friendly / helpful and there is a good variety on the menu to cater for most tastes, with generous portions. The layout of the restaurant is very good as you are in little sections, so not to be disturbed by other diners. It's a very popular restaurant, would suggest booking in advance not to miss the opportunity to try this lovely restaurant.

Thats the third sunday lunch I've had at the Apple Inn this summer and all three occasions are on my top three sunday meals out of so many. Hard to find anywhere that cooks their meat so well with veg and puds to die for.

Friendly welcome in cosy pub. Food was good, my only criticism would be they are a bit too generous with the meat for my personal taste.

We had a very enjoyable meal. First time at The Apple Inn and very impressed with the stylish and fresh modern decor. Definitely fits the Gastropub category - unlike many others! The food was well prepared and presented, but more to the point, it was delicious. A starter and main proved sufficient, with no room for a dessert. The portions were just right though - neither over-facing nor too small. All you could want from a proper pub meal. The service was excellent - friendly, attentive and efficient. We had been warned that due to staff shortage the service may be slow, but that did not prove to be the case. Excellent communication; which other establishments could learn from. Thanks to all the staff.

This was a bit of a mixed one. Regarding food, the Sunday lunch option was good but there was no vegetarian/vegan option available(3/5). However, the fish and chips were probably the worst I have ever seen, edible but very poor quality (1/5). Service, most of the staff were attentive and seemed interested, some gave the impression they were not interested in what they were doing. When I was paying the bill I mentioned how bad the fish and chips were. The member of staff asked if we had had a check back. When I said no, he just shrugged his shoulders. Atmosphere - ok, nothing special. Value for money - poor, due to the fish and chips and mixed service.

Lovely gastropub. Great atmosphere and brilliant, friendly service. Pre-supper bread was warm and delicious. The rack of lamb was excellent. The spicy cauliflower was good. The three ice cream scoops all tasted a bit the same. Overall though it was a good evening and we would go again.

Here in Lucker for a holiday and we were advised that the Apple Inn was a good restaurant; that recommendation didn't do the place justice! The food was AMAZING with a good choice of, meats, fish and vegetarian and vegan dishes on offer. The staff are efficient, friendly and lovely people who gave advice on things to do and see in the area aswell as providing excellent food and service. Highly recommended.

Visited the Apple Inn for a second tine last night. Same excellent food, friendly service and good value for money.

We had a lovely lunch outside under the canopy The food was excellent and the service cheery and prompt Gluten free requirements were efficiently dealt with Definitely recommended

A lovely breakfast however we waited 40 minutes,service was slow only wished we had asked for our hot drinks to come when meal was served

First time visiting the Apple Inn after spotting it recommended on the local spa's website. Food was amazing, staff were really friendly and the whole place had a really warm, inviting feel. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone!

Really enjoyed our visit. Great food, well presented and very tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.

Food is good though it could be served hotter. Had 2 meals here during our stay - Friday night dinner and Sunday lunch. The vegetables on Sunday lunch could be served hotter. The beef was very tasty. Would have preferred to sit away from people with dogs as we were inside the restaurant not in the garden. The service is good and the Sunday lunch team really worked very hard as it was busy.

Fantastic late lunch here. Longish wait for our food, hence slight mark down, but it was fantastic when it arrived. Friendly and v helpful waitress gave my mum a box to take most of her v generous all daybreakfast home with her!
