I stayed in Lucker with my family and ended our holiday with a meal at The Apple Inn - an excellent end to an amazing holiday. The food was delicious and the service was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed the spiced cauliflower and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Everyone was pleased with their choices and enjoyed the evening as much as I did.

It was one of the tastiest most beautiful dishes I have eaten! All of the food and the staff were great (as usual!).

The Apple Inn – BamburghWe came for breakfast and I must say it was absolutely amazing, all the staff was so friendly and welcoming and was so friendly with our springer spaniel dog, he even got his own sausage yum, I had the full northumbrian breakfast and it was the nicest I have ever had, the black pudding was out of this world, my missus had eggs Benedict and also really enjoyed it. The setting is lovely and would highly recommend this place to anyone.
The School House – BamburghMy family and I had Sunday lunch yesterday and the food was delicious, best Yorkshire puddings I have ever had in a restaurant, will definitely be back. The staff are so helpful in fact that is why we booked a meal as we called just for a drink the week before and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Will definitely be back.

The Apple Inn – BamburghFriendly gastro pub in an out of the way location which has deservedly built a good reputation for fine dining at affordable prices. Serves good ales and wines. Chef went out of his way to cater for the vegan in our party whose choice wasn’t quite covered by the menu. The duck breast (starter) and cod and chips, and the halibut were cooked to perfection, as too was the trio of pork. Prompt friendly and willing service from the inexperienced youngsters who served us. We will return next time we visit the area.

The food was probably more expensive than I think it was worth and unfortunately despite having gluten free options there was some cross contamination and I became unwell very soon after leaving. Due to this I wouldn't return.

The building is really comfortable with plenty of air and space , peaceful and calm and with a selection of toys and books for our grandson to play with . Staff were very polite and the waiting time for meal was reasonable. Everyone enjoyed what they had and it was well presented and nicely garnished with sauerkraut and vegetable crisps so a bit more unusual ,though a little pricey for essentially a sandwich
The School House – BamburghNice place with interesting food selection and decent local beer. The cauliflower meal was excellent, but the lamb, served with really good vegetables, was under-done to my taste. If you don't like it pink throughout, make sure you specify!
