Very good service, great value for money

Amazing food and service

We were 5 adults 1 child and 1 dog. We were given a table with plenty space. The covid restrictions were being adhered to and everything was very clear and clean. The menu is gastro pub. We all had something we enjoyed although the price for steak pie at £15 was quite high for the size of the pie. The staff were all friendly and service was varied and we weren't rushed but we did need to ask for dessert menus and then ask for service. It is a lovely place and the staff are friendly but we were a bit disappointed overall this time.

The Apple Inn was extremely busy for our visit but we were not disappointed at all with the food although service was a bit slow. However the staff were cheerful and polite and the evening a success for us. Beautifully cooked halibut, perfect chicken breast and the pork trio made up our choices and there was just room for very nice puddings. It is no wonder this restaurant is so popular - we rated it highly amongst others we had visited during our visit to the North East.

Food was OK, bit expensive and didn't think the quality and taste matched the price in comparison to other local restaurants. Watch your bill they tried to charge us for drinks we hadn't had which had I not have noticed would of been £10 overcharged.

Excellent breakfast. Our friends and I were very impressed with the restaurant and the welcoming and friendly staff Would highly recommend both this restaurant and the Apple Inn.

Food is good, atmosphere not so could, felt rushed .

Fantastic food as always

Extremely poor meal. Sweet potato burger had the consistency and taste of cardboard. I asked for no bun and ended up with no gherkins or mustard. There wasnt even any spinach. An expensive lump of potato. Stay clear and go to Carnabys instead.

The afternoon tea was delicious and plentiful - only one out of the four of us managed it all. The rest was boxed up and enjoyed the day after. Super value.

Two great evening meals at the Apple Inn, and Monty our long haired miniature dachshund was made to feel most welcome. Good locally sourced products make it ideal for visiting Northumberland and staying at the numerous self catering holiday homes in the village.

Really lovely food. The Shetland mussels were delicious and the lamb cooked to perfection . My husband enjoyed a huge portion of outstanding Fish and Chips!

Lovely meal, lots of choice and good friendly service. Brilliant Apple Inn is dog friendly. Always on our list of places to eat when we come to Northumberland.

We had a most pleasant evening. The haddock in lemon/cider batter was very good, as was our dessert the mango cheesecake! Jennifer make an excellent wine recommendation thank you. On an extremely busy evening the staff worked very hard under what can only be challenging circumstances due to Covid. Well done Team

First meal here and not disappointed. Great grub, hot, and well presented especially the signature apple dessert. Muzak way too loud hence lower atmosphere mark. Otherwise most enjoyable. Already booked in for a family function in 2022
