This was our first visit and definitely will not be our last. The idea of Sri Lankan cuisine attracted us as we love exploring different foods and flavours from around the world. We had a warm welcome on our arrival both from the manager and Izza, our server. The menu was clearly explained. We took time to choose as the choices were numerous. We certainly made good selections. Quality, flavour, and portions were outstanding. We so look forward to returning.

This was my second visit to Columbo Street and this time was the best yet! Food was fabulous - fresh, vibrant flavours and a lovely selection of dishes on the set menus. Also a very nice place to sit and eat in. We were a party of 7 and the service was top-notch too. I'll be back!

The food here is incredible. Good portion sizes and lots of different flavours. A bonus that the cocktails were on 2 for 1 as well. The staff were lovely and very attentive.

Food was scrumptious! Looked very appetising too! Definitely be visiting again!

Amazing food, friendly and helpful staff

We went for the buffet and loved it! It was a cold and snowy day, they let us in half hour before the restaurant opened and the service was impeccable. Great food, ambience and service, 5 stars!

Repeated visits, the food gets better each time, so nice to see it busy, well deserved. Excellent restaurant.

Ok food, although the portions were on the smaller side. The food was served lukewarm and we had to ask for it to be reheated. The atmosphere felt kind of strange given the pop-rock music choices.

I came with family to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I booked this restaurant based on some of the reviews I’d read but was very disappointed in the quality of the food. It was all very generic covered with unrecognisable sauces. If there was anything positive it was that the staff were polite.

Food was amazing and staff very friendly. We would highly recommend it.

Great, friendly service and very accommodating for our 2 young children and they enjoyed their food. Busy with a good atmosphere. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our food. There were no authentic flavours. The gravy on the chicken curry was very thin and oily, the dhal was quite bland and the Kotthu tasted like stodgy fast food with no flavour. Nice to have string hoppers though and these were good, as well as the mutton rolls. We will not be going back though. Shame as heard good things. My husband was then also sick when we got home after the meal so definitely not a good end to the evening!

Our family of four dined at Colombo Street on Sunday lunchtime and very much enjoyed the delicious all you can eat buffet. The food was wonderful and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We definitely hope to return on our next visit to Nottingham.
