A group of 4 of us went for Sunday Lunch. I was the only one who opted for a starter on a 2 course fixed price menu. I ordered the belly pork. When it arrived, it looked great. However, the fat wasn't rendered enough on the cut to produce crackling and the gelatinous fat that was left was unpleasant. The piece I had also had hardly any meat on it, it was mostly unrendered fat. The accompaniments were lovely and well executed. The mains were exceptionally good. Each person had meat, mine was beef, which was beautifully cooked. The vegetables were well cooked and the carrot was something else. All plates were left clean at the end. As I had a starter, the other 3 people in my group opted for dessert. Again, each arrived well presented and tasted great. The different ice cream pairings were inspired. All in all, a good meal & perhaps next time I'll choose more wisely.

Great food , served freshly cooked on hot plates . Haddock in batter was excellent as were the homemade rag puddings . Friendly staff who provided excellent service . We had a dog in our party who was made welcome .

Not been for ages , really good food and the staff were brilliant, jade and the girl with blond hair (sorry we didn’t get her name) Definitely calling again

We came for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. The sandwiches that were provided were quite dry at the edges as if they had been stood for a while but they were very tasty. There wasn’t a great choice in the cakes. A slate with tiramisu was brought out for the birthday girl which was a lovely touch but again it was brought out with all of the other food so was sat there whilst we ate. The waitress was lovely and very helpful.

Fabulous food, Fish, Chips & Peas was fabulous, didn’t get many peas do asked if could have more and they gave us double peas xx there was four of us and one had chilli con carne which was excellent and home made, staff friendly and attentive. The bar was busy and so was the medlock suite but definitely recommend the food before the Abbarettes who were amazing

We ate there yesterday , the taste of the food was nice but i had beef daube and it was burnt on the bottom and very tough and was only luke warm , no body came over and asked how the food was otherwise i would have told them so other people wouldn’t feel the same way as i did , My friend had the prawn linguine , hers were only luke warms and it should have had olives and capers in but they could not be seen , We will definitely not be going there again

Really nice atmosphere with great friendly staff. Food was lovely and good size portions. Would recommend a visit

We visited The Three Crowns last Sunday for a Sunday lunch and it was amazing, the service was phenomenal very welcoming and friendly.. I had the roast beef served pink and it was Devine !! Everything was fantastic but I have to say them Yorkshire puddings are amazing !!!! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. Jodie is so welcoming and her team are very good at making sure everyone is happy. Food was delicious with excellent service. Will definitely recommend and go again.

Very accommodating as we booked last minute. Staff were friendly and everywhere was lovely and clean. Garlic mushrooms starter was very nice. We then had four roast dinners, the lamb was tasty but quite fatty and the chicken was a tiny bit pink in the middle. Crumble was lovely and so was the cheesecake. The chocolate brownie was very bitter and tasted of just dark chocolate powder.

Sunday lunch. Absolutely fabulous!! Great attentive staff. (Nothing is too much trouble.). First class food. So lucky the Three Crowns is on the door step.

Under new management! Jodie & the team have done an excellent job, I came for Sunday Roast and wasn’t disappointed. Wanted to book for Father’s Day but of course they are full!

We came for a family meal early on a Sunday. two of us are vegan, the others eat meat. It was nice to be able to eat good food locally where we can all have something we enjoyed. and a vegan meal that wasn't risotto! Great mushroom pies for us. The meat eaters were happy too. One thing to improve it. The veg served with the roast dinners could have also been served with the pies, which would have been an improvement on (tasty) peas. That is why I have given a 4 for the food. And the vegan crumble was so good. I may well return for just crumble and coffee.

Excellent meal and service at the Three Crowns on Saturday evening, we both had steaks which were cooked perfectly and accompanied by a very good and reasonably priced house red.

Excellent service great choice of Menu. The food was very good and large portions could not finish the sides. Price is really good value been here now 5 times and will be going again.
