what a let down, we have been visiting this place for over twenty years with different managers, the service was attrocious, with young inexperienced staff, we spoke to one waitress who said it was the first time she had worked as a waitress, and she had received no training. add to this, mediocre bland food, result a recipe for disaster

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and it was absolutely fantastic. The prices are incredibly cheap - I had a beautiful pasta carbonara for lunch for £1.95! I had to check with the waitress it wasn't just a starter at that price - but it came and it was beautiful and a large main portion! All the food I saw come out looked really tasty and of a generous serving! I thought the service was excellent, particularly with the larger parties in there. I just felt bad when my bill after a huge, beautiful lunch was only £3.15! And they also did set menus at about £5-6 for lunch and £12 for dinner. Brilliant!

We were totally surprised by the range and diversity of the dishes. When our food arrived we were gobsmacked by the quantity on each plate. If you are going to eat here, bring your appetite - we were glad, for once, that we didn't have a starter and we certainly didn't have room for pudding. Definitely value for money and we will be going back repeatedly.

The left bank is my favourite restaurant. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed and romantic and the food is brilliant.

My family go to this place all the time. I went years ago and it was a little too posh now its fab. The food is really nice we dine out all the time in Chester/Cheshire area and nothing has ever come close. We were celebrating a 25th birthday the staff are really nice the drinks are a bit pricey but the food is so good for value I think it was £17.95 a head or round about. We had lots to drink and it only came to £40.00 per head 3 course meal lots of wine and more. It? that good my friend is going to book her wedding there! It? a must to go!!

This has got to have been one of the nicest meals we have ever had. We went to West Tower as a special birthday treat. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff were professional and attentive but not too in your face. The food at £17.95 for a 3 course meal Monday to Friday was very reasonable as the food covered everyone? taste and was perfectly cooked. I cannot fault it, you must go!!!!

Food was very nice. Beer is good too. We had Sunday lunch but there was plenty on the menu too. A really nice atmosphere.

I spent Mothers Day at this restaurant, usually when you go out on mothers day it is a very rushed poor quality affair not so with this restaurant!. I had the best Mothers Day ever in this restaurant. Service was Fabulous, not hurried at all, food was superb, the Prawns in Filo with Alioli was divine as was the calamari my children chose. I had Gnocchi for main which was to die for! My children chose filleto de Bianco, which was the tenderest steak imaginable. Desserts were all home made and wine list was very reasonable. Will be returning soon!

We visited this restaurant last year for a special occassion and never made it back there until recently. We have made up for that by going twice in as many months! I cannot say enough good things about this Restauarant. The head waiter is simply one of the nicest men you would ever hope to meet, and he never forgets a face. He remembered us from last year when we went last month. And when we went on Saturday, he told us not to stay away for as long next time. He makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed and really looks after you. We decided to go for pasta and pizza this time as we always have steak (as it is divine!). Well, we certainly weren't disappointed. The pizza was extremely tasty with a very generous amount of topping. My boyfriend also really enjoyed his pasta with spicy chorizo sausage in tomato and basil sauce. Both dishes were very well presented and tasted exquisite. Once again, a fantastic meal, made all the more memorable by fantastic service and excellent laid back ambience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Fantastic authentic Italian dining experience. The only complaint was that I couldn't have everything on the menu. The staff are friendly and make excellent suggestions regarding menu choices and suitable wine. I can't wait to go back!

The food here is exquisite! we visited West Tower for a special occasion & i can honestly say we couldn't of chosen a better place. the staff are so attentive without being intrusive, & the atmosphere is one of understated elegance. will definatley be back soon!

Quattro? is an excellent Italian restaurant with a Sardinian flavour. We knew it existed, but the best recommendation we had was from a waiter in an excellent restaurant called La Rocca in Baia Sardegna near Porto Cuervo who had worked there. It is a genuinely Italian restaurant, too; many so-called Italian restaurants over here simply serve an Italian menu and pay mere lip service to the quality of the dishes. Quattro? serve the quality of food you would expect in a good local restaurant in Italy. There are several reasons for this; ingredients are high quality, but also the chef's are Italian and know what they are doing. Meat and fish were both fresh and good quality. Choices of dishes were good. Starters and pasta are tasty, the Malloredus (with Sargegnan cured wild boar sausage) was top notch, and the sauce with the prawns was wonderful. There is a great selection of main courses (secondi platti); never trust an Italian menu that doesn't serve veal - and Quattro? two veal dishes are excellent, I'd recommend the saltimbocca very highly. There was a great selection of seafood and steak dishes too. Portions are a good size, cheaper restaurants fill you up with poor-quality pasta and skimp on the more expensive ingredients. Not so here, there are plenty of both. Too much in fact; in Italy you'd have a starter, then a pasta course and a meat or fish course plus of course a dessert. We couldn't have managed that here! The wine list has a good selection of quality wines; having visited Sardegna we know our way round a good wine list. We chose torbatta which is a very nice but little known white. There was a nice selection of reds too; we'll sample the DOC Cannonau next time. The grappa was the excellent brown Nardini, definitely a sign they are selective in what they give to customers. It is a very friendly place; they make you feel special, even if it's your first time. Children are welcomed - always a good sign. My only regret is that they didn't serve Porceddu (Sardegnan roast suckling pig) or serve the excellent Terra Brune red wine. It's hard to find a good restaurant in North Liverpool; we are really glad we found Quattro? and will now be regulars

My boyfriend and I ate here recently and I have been desperate to go back ever since. I had the most fantastic night. The staff are very friendly and attentive but in no way false, they are just lovely people. The ambience is so relaxed and I just felt totally at home. Now for the food - wow! I think it is up there as one of the best Italian meals I have ever had - and I have been to Rome! I immediately noticed that the menu is very varied and caters for all tastes. We had prawns in filo pastry and spare ribs to start, both of which were delicious. We both chose a steak for main course but had different sauces, both of which were again delicious - cutting the steak was like putting a hot knife through butter and it just melted in your mouth. We had tiramisu and chocolate fudge cake to finish with and this just rounded off the perfect meal. All washed down with a beautiful bottle of Pinot Grigio and a very creamy Baileys coffee. Yum. All in all we had a fantastic night. You couldn't ask for more - excellent food, wonderful service and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone.

Party of 11 dined on Sunday lunch staff were excellent catering for our daughter of 3 although they don't have a Childs menu. Once again, an excellent meal, which we recommended to our family who were all suitably impressed. Until next time... thank you

Excellent, always dine on the early specials menu so really good value for money. Lovely comfortable seating with plenty of space between tables.
