its crap will never return
Seacourt Bridge Inn – OxfordDelicious food served promptly and with a smile. Venture up the creaky wooden stairs to this hidden gem in Oxford. In my opinion should be highly recommended if you like tasty Indian food. Spicy but not so intense as to detract from the flavours. Went on a Monday night when it was fairly quiet. Almost hope not too many people go or overcrowding might spoil it.
Shezan – OxfordDelicious food and great accommodation in a romantic setting.
Old Swan and Minster Mill – OxfordI love the food, love the atmosphere, the service and the decor and would like to eat like this every day of the week! It is relaxed, not at all stuffy, but real Italian food, just as Jamie advocates of course! The only thing is, it is very busy at weekends, so get their early or even better, go for lunch in the week. Fantastic place, couldn't fault it!
Jamie’s Italian – OxfordIt is wonderful place to eat !! Nice setting and wonderful food and good service. The price is just right.
Shanghai 30s – OxfordWhat a yummy addition to East Oxford! Beautifully delicious food at moderate prices, some nice inexpensive wine too. For ladies who lunch there is a menu for £5.95 - main course and a drink (forget about coke - anything - beer, house wine, coffee...... They have a good selection of vegetarian dishes including a stuffed potato pancake which could convert anyone. My favourite main dish is crab, no; chicken, no; prawn, no ..........oh hell! Just go there and try them all and a chocolate pud TO DIE FOR........ ps. Did I mention the flamingos in the women's lavatory...
Door 74 – OxfordGreat food, reasonably priced, impeccable service. Great for a light lunch.
La Tasca – OxfordThe Rose and Crown in Oxford's lovely North Parade Avenue may be slightly off the beaten track but this is only to its advantage, as it's a lovely old-world pub offering good value for money, classic dishes, friendly service and pleasant (if not spacious) surroundings. The Rose and Crown is more of a lunch pub due to its size and surroundings, but its well-done classics, including steaks, omelettes, sausages and salads etc are delicious, generous and cheap. A little gem!
Rose and Crown PH – OxfordThree friends and I went to La Manoir last Friday for lunch to celebrate one of my friends 50th birthday. What a lovely place to do that. We arrived early for our table but were shown through to the lovely lounge area where we enjoyed drinks and really unusual/imaginative hors d'oeuvres and olives. We were then shown through to the lovely conservatory dining room where we enjoyed the 10 course taster lunch. Every course was delicious and served by really charming staff. They described the course to us as it was presented so we knew exactly what we were eating, and also answered any questions we had. They were very attentive with the wine/water refills but we never felt like we were being crowded. We finished off the meal with a selection of cheese from the most amazing cheese board I have ever seen. We then wandered in the beautiful gardens, where all the fresh produce for the restaurant is grown. We were there from 12.15 until about 4.30 and had a really lovely time. I would recommend this eating experience to anyone. It is the place for a special as it is not cheap, but a real treat to have now and then.
Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons – OxfordTasty, good food. I would eat there every time. book up first. brilliant place to eat good food.
Ginos – OxfordI went here with the family on Wednesday night. The service on the evening was absolutely amazing. The manager insisted we had a free dish with our meal and also went out of his way to buy the family coffee's after the meal. Will definitely be returning as the food was absolutely outstanding. No downsides to this meal whatsoever.
Taste Of India, The – OxfordA nice friendly hotel/pub where nothing is too much for the owner and staff to attend to. Very clean room. Hotel situated in a wonderful quiet spot. Good nights sleep and a comfortable bed. Full of character and charm, a must to return to in the future.
The Peacock Hotel – OxfordTiffins is small and friendly. The service is good and the food excellent. Their peshwari naan is the best I have ever tasted!
