This is such a lovely, friendly and intimate thai restaurant. I have been many times now, and always come back because of the quality of the food, the friendly staff and the value for money. it is perhaps not as smart nor as exotic as the Thai Orchid just up the road, but it is one of those restaurants that never disappoints. The starters, thai green curry, bah me pad noodles, chicken pad thai and dum sing are particularly good, and often a meal for two does not exceed £15! The staff are always friendly and hospitable, and make dining there a pleasure.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant after friends recommended it. I have to say, we were both utterly disappointed with everything- the food, the service, the whole experience. The setting was pleasant and intimate. My boyfriend ordered a pizza, and I ordered the spaghetti carbonara. We also ordered garlic bread. I was presented with the most tiny garlic bread I have ever seen, so I was not impressed. I hoped at least the main courses would be good. When they arrived (after over half an hour of waiting) my carbonara was revolting: spaghetti swimming in a watery supermarket style sauce, with a few measly bits of ham and (oddly) whole mushrooms thrown in! My boyfriend's pizza was equally supermarket-tasting. For the price, which is pretty expensive, the many reasonably-priced, decent italian restaurants in Banbury far surpass Peppers. The service was also poor; we had to wait a long time to catch the waitress's attention, and the place seemed to be run by teenagers, more intent on chatting to each other than doing their jobs. When we left, we did not even receive a good bye! Suffice it to say that I will not be returning to Peppers, and I would advise anyone thinking of going there to look elsewhere.

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening at Bengal Spice, New Street , Deddington , Banbury , OX15 0SP. The food was excellent and the service was superb.

Spurred on by a most enjoyable initial visit I have returned on several occasions. Nothing is too much trouble - a dish can be personalised to your liking & the whole atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Choose upstairs for the best atmosphere & enjoy.

I love Thai food and have visited many 'fancy' and expensive restaurants in and around London. This unassuming little restaurant was a real pleasant surprise; the food was delicious and the staff friendly and efficient. Can't recommend it too highly. Go visit!

this is one of the best restaurant in banbury. service is excellent and food is outstanding. we really enjoy ours evening in the restaurant with ours guests.

If you are looking for genuine Indian cuisine, better stay away. Inspite of this, if you venture out, please dont complain of poor quality. If you do, you would be thrown out of the restaurant - moreso if you are Indian, because "black faces" are not entertained. I was thrown out because I complained of poor quality and was called a black face!! So beware!!

A very good eat, even though a little far out, but definitely worth the journey. i have been recommending this restaurant to all of my friends and definitely think anyone reading this should go there.

A wonderful selection of Italian and English dishes that represent the husband and wife team's nationality. All the staff were jovial and made it a pleasure to eat the excellent food in such nice surroundings. I especially enjoyed my taglietelli and look forward to going again when I shall try another dish from the wonderful choice on the menu. I look forward to taking the family to try the Sunday lunch carvery.

We had an enjoyable meal, not to pricey. Fillet steak was meant to be medium/well but arrived very bloody - not my ideal steak. We would eat here again

We were suprised at how delicious and beautifully presented this food was, considering the low price. The waitresses were all in traditional dress and very attentive. The only down-side would be the small interior, although I did not see their second floor restaurant. Highly recomended.

I love this restaurant- I go there regularly because I love pasta and Italian food and if authenticity and quality are what you're looking for, you'll find it at San Carlo. The staff are always very friendly and attentive, despite how busy they must be (because the place is usually busy, so if you prefer a quieter meal, arrive early). The dining area is spacious, so you're not elbowing people on the table next to you, and I have never had to wait too long for my meal. The food is exquisite- their carbonara is delicious- the best I've ever tasted- just the right amount of sauce so that it just coats the pasta, but does not drown it. Their pizzas, lasagne, penne with vodka and salmon, and Tagliatelle are all delicious too. To my mind, San Carlo is the best Italian in Banbury- it ticks all the boxes- friendly service, great food, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices.

I went here with the family on Wednesday night. The service on the evening was absolutely amazing. The manager insisted we had a free dish with our meal and also went out of his way to buy the family coffee's after the meal. Will definitely be returning as the food was absolutely outstanding. No downsides to this meal whatsoever.
