Food is excellent, atmosphere and friendly staff are also brilliant.
But, and it pains me to say this....
Having been many times over the years, I don't think I will be going much in the future because of the prices, which are so high. It's cheaper to drive in to Manchester for a meal......of similar, if not better standard. I've just paid over £40 for a starter (which I shared), two main meals, 1.5pints of lager and a pint of coke.....a very expensive tea in, what is in effect, a local restaurant.

Had a birthday meal on Saturday, the food was excellent. Steaks were cooked to perfection for everyone. Everything was lovely and tasty and fresh. Service excellent.

I have been to Bertoni's many times over the year and am always impressed by the service and quality of the food. Our last visit was this weekend for my dads 70th and the service was as exceptional as ever, and the food was the best Italian food I have ever tasted. Will come back here again and again.

The staff & owners are extremely nice & friendly & the food is absolutely delicious! We have been many many times over the years, and we are always happy with everything! We recently had our joint 30th birthday do here (there was 32 of us!) - and everything went perfectly.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

My husband and I recently visited Bertoni's for the first time. I have not enjoyed an italian meal so much for a very long time -we received a warm and genuine welcome and the food was out of this world! Even the side vegetables that came with our superb steaks were perfection. I can't believe we have not frequented this lovely restaurant before - if anything is lacking, it is their advertising - where is it?

Wow! What a place. I go regularly to Bertoni's with my husband, his mother and our nine year old son (oh, and sometimes our sixteen year old daughter). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and will gladly accommodate children. The food is amazing: freshly made and fantastic! We have taken other family members and friends, who have all thoroughly enjoyed the Bertoni's dining experience.
In the words of our nine year old son: 'they do well good food! It's awesome here. Can we come every night?'!

We live in spain but whenever we visit family in Royton we visit Bertoni's. The food is of a very high standard and the customer service is excellent. Booking is a must as a lot of people think the same way as myself and my husband do. If it is not on the menu they will try their best to get it for you.

Excellent friendly atmosphere authentic cuisine and beer alike take a chance mid week but definitely book for weekend. The manager reminds me as if I was sat in a Plaza in the middle of Rome.....super night thanks
