Superb in every way. T bone with the Blackladd sauce is a must. We recently visited best Chinese restaurant in England . voted by Gordan Ramsey F-Word. This restaurant was no were near as nice as the blackladd bukstones road shaw nr oldham ; we have visited lots of restaurants ,and we put the blackladd as number one. Highly recommend. My partner and I often visit the Black Ladd. This Sunday we had an excellent meal there, as usual. Rump steak cooked rare side of medium: perfect. Chips the best this side of 1950! Excellent food, and wine list. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and warm. Best value in the area.

Four of us went to the Black Ladd for the first time. The service was OK but the food was awful. Uninspiring prawn cocktail, dried and overcooked salmon, pants steak and dreadful lasagna. I'm sorry, but it was disappointing and we will not return. Don't know what all the fuss is about and will not recommend.

visited the black ladd last Friday lovely cosy restaurant friendly and informative staff. good simple food had sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection as was the veg and a special mention for the chips best I've tasted in a long time and would return just to sample those again would and already have recommended to friends

This is a first class pub/restaurant. The staff are attentive and the food is both excellent and affordable. The pub has a very nice ambience and very nice beer. My family have been a dozen times and never had anything but a great time with great food. In my opinion this is one of the best pubs in the area
