About Bodega

Bodega in Christchurch is a buzzy tapas bar with ambient lighting and an open kitchen. Meat, fish and vegetarian dishes are brought to life as you kick back and relax and there’s a great selection of wines, beers and cocktails too to complement the food. Weekend afternoons see a popular Bottomless Brunch on offer and during the week there’s an early evening Cocktail Hour. Bodega is also available for private hire if you are planning a party or corporate event. Pretty rubbish really… Turned up on time for our reservation only to be told that the group before were not finished… No effort was made to manage the the exit of the group in the table. Instead we were offered a table stuck right in the middle of a rammed restaurant where I needed to move everyone someone want to get past… Aftet 5mins of that crap and with no engagement from staff we walked out. Shame, because it looks like a nice place.

Great place to eat. The food is excellent, atmosphere is relaxed with good music (not so loud you can’t talk) and the staff were brilliant. We will be back.

Had a lovely lunch here on Saturday. Food was delicious and the cocktails were some of the best we’ve had. Staff were very friendly and we didn’t feel hurried. Will definitely go back.
