Had lunch at Bowness kitchen yesterday a combination of sandwiches, toasties and chips was all lovely and beautifully presented. so we called for breakfast this morning before home my other half had "The Bigger Grill (as they do) my Son had "Bacon and Eggs" which is served on hot toast and i had "The Posh One" smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toasted ciabatta. again was all very nice and excellant value. Enjoy!!

Have called in twice during July & Aug. 2011 for both lunch and afternoon tea. Excellent, wholesome, well presented food, tasty and just as you'd like it - if you'd made it yourself. Very high standards of cleanliness and most welcoming and helpful, polite staff. Will become a regular calling place for us when in Lakes.

Gem of a cafe in Bowness - very fresh, well cooked grilled (so no grease or oil at all) breakfast. We ate there every morning during our week's stay in Bowness - delicious food and spotlessly clean cafe.

Superb, freshly prepared food. I had the full English ( not greasy at all ) and my wife had the home made soup. The children had ham and cheese toasties with lattice fries. Excellent value, good, clean premises. Will go again.

SATURDAY 28 MARCH 09 My wife & I made out third visit to Bowness Kitchen as we had previously enjoyed lunchtime meals their. However we found on this occasion that the staff appeared to be somewhat put out by customers requiring attention & that the meal was not up to our expectations. The owners of the business must think that customers should not receive a friendly service, are they aware that in a recession you step up a gear with customer service. Excellent place to go for a cooked breakfast if you are self catering or just a late riser at the weekend. think they serve breakfasts till 2pm and you can people watch on a sunny day from the outside dining area. Lots of other food available too which always looks scrummy.
