I went to Brazas, in Tulse Hill/Brixton, it is a local restaurant. At one point we weren't sure if we'd get a table and it was only 7.30, but we did, which is always a good sign and the staff were very friendly. I had the chorizo for starter which was tasty. Then I had the char grilled sardine salad which was amazing, the sardines and green beans were so fresh and very good value for money. I must say I had very large portions for starters and for mains, which maybe I'm not use to but I did ask for a doggy bag, (and very glad too as it would have been a shame to waste). For pudding I had a warm, melt in the mouth chocolate pudding with raspberries with a lovely ice cream. They also had an excellent choice of wines and soft drinks The only thing i would suggest is maybe reduce the oil used, but this could be me. Apart from that it was a fantastic meal and really good value for money.

The warm and friendly atmosphere of this Portuguese inspired Deli/restaurant runs deep into the food that is lovingly prepared and served. The portions are healthy and were rustically presented. The chorizo with the sweet plum sauce starter was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious, especially with the char grilled ciabatta bread. I always think that a homemade burger is the making or breaking of a restaurant, and in this case Brazas make theirs with good quality ground beef. It was accompanied by homemade salsa and did not disappoint being cooked to perfection. Unfortunately I was too full for a full dessert as they looked yummy. However, I did have an ice-cream which was delicious, high quality and finished with berries. All in all I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for a tasty night out.
