Best Indian takeaway I've had. Authentic Indian food with different items on the menu I hadn't tried before.

Went to Bukhara for a friends birthday meal and I was left traumatised. I found a huge dead wasp in a dish. I was in shock and hurry and more than anything disgusted. Went I talked the manger he simply replied saying "listen yeah it fell in the dish from my journey to the kitchen to your table" um no it was at the bottom of the dish don't try to justify it with that excuse. Did not even have the decency to say sorry. Absoloutely disgusted. Never again.

Visited this restaurant for the first time with my partner as although it is slightly out of the way for us, the building caught my eye ages ago & on further inspection the menu was full of varied & more imaginative dishes than usual as well as lots of different vegetarian dishes (instead of the usual boring veggie curry, onion bahji etc...). We were not disappointed! The food was excellent & authentic, the service was super speedy, decor was modern & prices were surprisingly reasonable. No alcohol but this was not a problem, as although we do like a drink, the lassi is gorgeous & the food tastes better without alcohol. Will definitely be returning as it is well worth the drive.

We found this restaurant via Sugarvine and gave it try and we were not disappointed. This is the only Indian restaurant that I've found that actually makes a REAL biryani with no curry sauce and what a great meal it is too. Full of flavour, good portions, good surroundings, good service, what more could you wish for. The best Indian restaurant for miles around. The lime and soda with Cumin in is refreshing and delicious. The mango Lassi is equally delicious. No wonder this place is constantly full, even midweek. Indian perfection!

We discovered this Indian Restaurant purely by chance. The main thing we noticed was it was full and most of the people eating there were Indian/Asian. Now, believing Indian people should know where to eat good Indian food we thought we would give it a go and were not disappointed. Firstly, there is no alcohol. Although I like a drink or two with my meal, please don't let this stop you! The delicious fruit juices and wide range of soft drinks, reasonably priced should more than make up for this!! Staff Friendly and attentive staff. Great service. Price Be pleasantly surprised at the cost of the dishes and the cost of soft drinks! Our average bill for 2 people has been around £40 which has included poppadoms, chutney, 3 x starters, 2 x curries (abhari chicken masala and a King Prawn Masala), a jug of fresh juice and a couple of bottles of diet coke (bottles, not draft). Check out their website for the full menu. You will be pleasantly surprised. Appearance / Presentation of food The food always looks and tastes fantastic. Its a rare treat to get starters that look as well presented as you would expect from a top class restaurant in London from the likes of Jamie Oliver but for a fraction of the price! Quality / Taste The quality of food is always good. Don't go here expecting what you would normally get from your after pub hours, curry house. Infact, don't go here expecting the same taste you would get at an Indian restaurant that caters for us Brits! The taste is tantalising different. I particularly like the Akbari Chicken Masala which is their version of Chicken Tikka Masala!! I generally don't like Lamb dishes but my friend ordered Lahori Gosht and the meat was so tender that it melted in my mouth!! Quantity / Value for Money If you want good quality food representing excellent value for money, friendly and attentive staff and a true taste of Indian cuisine then the Bhukara has it all. Atmosphere Arguably this is not the restaurant to go to if you want one that is full of English people, laughing, drinking with annoyingly loud music playing in the background. It does not sell alchohol so this may not be the place to go to if its a celebration or you want a party atmosphere, although they do have a room upstairs for parties... If you would prefer to have a glass of wine with your meal... they do offer a takeaway service... Location Great out of the way location. Plenty of free parking. Overall Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. 10/10

What an amazing find this place is, I will never think a run of the mill curry is the same again, wonderful food served in unbelievable polite and courteous style. The lime and soda was a revelation no Roses cordial here and the meals where works of art. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently visited this restaurant after many recommendations from friends and family. Although the food was pleasant I was not impressed by the service. Our party of 5 were sat in the corner next to the door, which was constantly being opened by people picking up their takeaway or by the diners. Our waiter promptly came over once we were seated to take our order. The starters came within 10 minutes and I must admit the food was very good. After we had finished our starters, the table was cleared and are main courses were given to us. In both instances the waiters were quite quick, however once our main courses were served, their promptness came to an end. We had wanted to order some more naan and some rice but couldn't attract the attention of the waiter to do so. They never came over to see if our meal was alright, nor did they ask if we needed anything else. In the end we gave up and eventually managed to get someone to give us our bill. I would recommend this restaurant for the food but the service really let them down. If you're visiting this restaurant, I'd make sure you go with plenty of time on your hands!
