Very impressed with the hotel! We stayed for 2 nights, used the gym and pool, had a spa treatment and ate in Alexanders pub and breakfast in the restaurant. Excellent on all counts and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. Will definitely return!!

Visited the in house restaurant on both nights of our stay at the castle green. This is in the top three of restaurants that I have ate in. Looking into the kitchen you can see a well organised team of award winning chefs dedicated to perfection in both taste and presentation. I ate a scallop and pork belly starter which was amazing followed by a trio of cumbria lamb which was and is the best lamb I have ever tasted. Service showed to be less desiring but can be overlooked due to the fine food.
