We've eaten here on several occasions, the food has always been very tasty and the staff very helpful. The atmosphere and the decor are also very inviting. Try their yummy tapas desserts, you can pick 3 small portions from their dessert menu instead of one regular sized.

I have been here several times. Following refurbishment went for another visit. They have now introduced table service - previously you placed your order at the bar & the order went by computer direct to the chef & a waitress brought you what you had ordered, usually only 2 waitresses on duty. There were 4 waitresses in a half full restaurant & they were struggling to cope. Tables were getting incomplete orders, including our starter & we waited quite a while for our courses. The food was very good but the portions appeared to be smaller than last few times we had been there. They later ran out of fish & chips - Friday afternoon!
The menu has been reduced from our last visit & desserts list was limited. Also the 4 waitresses were complaining about overwork & was expecting them to walk out on strike any minute. The afternoon shift arrived at 3.00 & the 2 waitresses replacing the other 4 had very little to do up until when we left.
Under the circumstances I am not inclined to return here which is a shame as it used to be really good.

Staff are friendly, Bar/Restaurant very clean, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would go again.

The food here was nice enough and the surroundings were lovely. The staff however were rude. Would not visit here again on the strength of their attitude. Shame really.

I was recommended the Derby Lodge Restaurant by friends, after they had received outstanding service from all of the staff whilst celebrsting their son's 18th birthday.
I took my grandma for a birthday treat, she found it to be out of this world with its comfortabloe surroundings, beautiful gardens and building, good food and drink and very friendly and pleasant staff. This restaurant is an excellent establishment that should be visited by all because the staff pride themselves in delivering the best quality service to all customers.
