This is possibly one of the most stuck up restaurants i have ever eaten in. aside from the fact that there was a rat in the main dining room whilst we were eating the staff are rude and make you feel like you should be grateful to be eating there. the service is poor and our over all experience was shocking from start to finish! would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!!

a very nice restaurant, offering river views. my partner and i both thought the food was quite nice/alright rather than delicious. i had a choice of a mild, medium or hot karahi. i went for the medium, and i'm glad i chose that and not the mild as it was fairly tame (not as though i like 'hot'). my girlfriend had some prawn dish that apparently didn't taste very much like prawns. we twice asked for some tap water (we already had wine) which never came. the pickle tray for the popadoms was excellent though and we will probably give this place another go.

Fantastic meal, great service from the minute our car was parked for us to when it was returned at the end of the night. Staff very knowledgeable regarding food and preferences, managing to cater for two pregnant diners and two hungry men. Food very tasty, reasonably priced and attention to detail was great. Hope to see one in my local town very soon. This will be a great venue in summer months but even now with rain battering the windows it was second to none. Loved the decor, loved the atmosphere and loved the food.

We visited the lovely chic NEW EastzEast on the riverbank just along from the Lowry Hotel. Big tip for the year here, this place will be the main competition for Akbars.Definately during the summer when you will be able to use the Riverside Bar. Food.. excellent as per the other branch. Service.. excellent as per. Price.. just right. prediction....will be in the top ten by July
