Having decided to pay take a trip to see what impact new management had made on this country pub, we were not disappointed, we even went back for a family birthday . Good home cooked food, the best Creme brulee you have ever tasted, a wide selection of guest ales, efficient friendly staff, a real country atmosphere to the place, and a warm welcome from the new landlords. We recommend you pay a visit its well worth the effort particulalrly the Sunday Roast, Andy cooked it, Gary carved it, bet you cant finish it !.

I have been a veggie for 15 years and have generally been disappointed with the food served up when we eat out. At the Gate Hangs Well I was in for a treat. The selection of real ales was wonderful and the 'Char Grilled Vegetable Stack' was the best vegetarian meal that I have ever tasted! Outstanding! The atmosphere was fabulous, the staff were very friendly. All in all an amazing night and we will definitely be back!!! THANK YOU, Gate Hangs Well!!!

If you enjoy a Quality meal taken from a mouth watering menu followed by a Superb cask beer or a glass of wine then look no further. The friendliness of all the staff and the comfortable surroundings makes for a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Nothing was to much trouble. My wife and I would certainly recommend The Gate Hangs Well
