About Gaucho

Gaucho Leeds is located in luxurious sub-basement surroundings in the heart of the city's legal and banking district. Since opening in March 2010, it's quickly established a reputation for its quality South American cuisine, fabulous selection of cocktails and stunning Argentinean wines. Steak is a speciality with the free-range beef -- that's been wet-aged for 28 days -- imported direct from the Pampas. Lots of other South American dishes feature too on a menu designed by Argentine chef Fernando Trocca, the owner of Sucre restaurant which was recently voted the 29th best in South America. Gaucho houses a beautifully designed private dining suite which can be reserved for up to 16 guests and used as a function room for lunches, corporate events and parties. In addition to the main a la carte menu, group dining menus are available for large parties. Gaucho also boasts a stylish bar area where you can pop in after work for a quick cocktail or spend a whole evening being waited on by the bar team. I booked a table last year it was our first time at Gaucho and I have to say what an amazing experience. The service was impeccable the staff were very friendly, the knowledge of the different cuts was excellent even the wine choice to go with the different cuts was exceptional. The ambiance was lovely. I am booking again for the 30th of May to celebrate my son's birthday we loved the restaurant that much. Thankyou to all staff for a wonderful first experience. See you all soon.

Came here for our wedding anniversary and was extremely impressed by the excellent food and spectacular service. The waitress brought over a board of meat cuts to show us what they all were (useful when I had never seen a spiral cut before) and recommended different cuts for different cooking times. We tried the cured salmon, empanadas, spiral cut sirloin and two desserts and all were delicious, as were the cocktails - including the two free ones we were given in honour of our anniversary. They also offered to call us a cab and had our coats ready as we left. Will definitely return!

Been to this restaurant twice now, and have not been disappointed. The food is to die for, very well presented, extremely well cooked and tastes divine. This is quite possibly the best steak i have ever had. Can be a bit expensive if you have three courses and wine - we had two courses, a bottled beer each, bottle of water, and then coffees. which was £105 for two - but well worth it !!!.
