I was in this pub today and the way the manager was treating 4 men over something from what me and my partner heard was absolutely ridiculous, the managers name was Jim something or other. He was really rude to this group of lads who were just sat there conversing between each other. This manger also had a go at an elderly couple aswell because he had hid a cane behind the bar. His general attitude was disgusting. There was a ray of hope though as the barmaid on duty, katherine i think her name was or something similar was excellent in dealing with the problem customers that were being rude to this group of 4 lads who were enjoying a funeral drink. Overall the management of this establishment was dire and we shall not be going there again and will tell all of our friend sto avoid like it has the plague.

Hey, don't diss this pub too much. I drink here all the time, its a reasonably quiet place during weekdays, however from 9.30 till 11.30 Thursday -Saturday it gets very busy, very crowded can wait anything up to 40 mins for a drink. It has a nice atmosphere and although the bulk of the drinkers are young people its not a noisy overcrowded pub full of yobs. Its also very very cheap which is always a good thing. Nice staff, although always rushed off their feet on a weekend. Odd smell though lol

I like going to this pub for a beer but it is also good for an early evening dinner or a breakfast in the morning. The food is of acceptable quality and as long as the staff aren? too rushed then service is ok. I have had a nightmare ordering food however where nearly everything was off the menu. Four different meals were asked for before a table for 4 could be accommodated. We were a little disappointed when asked for the have something from one menu option to make up the lack of availability on another we were answered with a curt No! cant ring that into the till! Convenient for a quick meal, quality is ok would not advise a visit on days, nights when it may be busy. McDonalds is across the road. Verdict Ok Wouldn? Recommend it highly though.
